Does this nation, this state and in general the ummah have no common problems and does this problem have no common opinion in its solution? Of course there is and there should be.

So then what is there to say about all this conflict between the ruling party and opposition, fighting, the mess and division dragging one into despair? It is only natural to have familiar parties in secular democracies. The reason for their existence is to find and realize what is better and more beneficial for the people and country; at least in theory this is how it is.

Yet, when we look at its implementation, we can't see any example showing that the ruling party and opposition are saying, “This is a national matter, we should not dispute this and cause harm to the people and the country,” and act in accordance with this mentality.

In an attempt at finding a solution, the ruling party sat down with the representatives of the terrorist organization, which has been thriving for years and could not be wiped out with any security measure, listened to what they wanted, realized the demands that seemed valid, and convinced them regarding those which did not seem valid, ensuring that they choose politics over weapons. Most of our well-intentioned and levelheaded people also wanted this. While great progress had been made in this attempt, the terrorists stopped the reconciliation process for known reasons and went back to their weapons. Of course, the ruling party rightfully and necessarily chose to respond to violence with violence to prevent them from going back to their weapons ever again.

So what did the opposition do regarding this state and nation matter?

Rather than supporting a necessary fight which had no other solution, it chose to use the reconciliation process as an excuse to put pressure on the ruling power to take advantage of the situation to increase it votes in the upcoming election instead of protecting the interest of the people and state.

An opposition that prioritizes the interest of the nation and state would have been expected to criticize the decisions and practices they considered wrong during the reconciliation process, condemn the terrorists who chose weapons over politics, who are causing great harm to the nation and country, who have the audacity to try and get a great state to accept their demands through weapons, clearly and implicitly state what they are doing is wrong and continue the fight put up by the ruling party as long as they continue their mistake.

This is what we expect. What do they do?

As though the cause of terrorism is the reconciliation process, as though there was no terrorism prior to this process, they put the entire blame on the ruling party that tried this solution, unfairly and indecently weighing down the ruling party and choosing to remain silent on the fight.

The ruling power may, in the eyes of the opposition, have faults and mistakes, which the opposition frequently expresses in exaggeration. Yet there are so many other wonderful things done by this ruling party that benefit the people and the country, which are recognized by fans as well as others; so why do they never state these and encourage them further?

Is it really that difficult to call the good “good,” the bad “bad,” black “black” and white “white?” Even if it is tough, this is what the people expect of them. Let it be known that the only way to win the people's votes is not to see the bad and point it out and turn a blind eye to what is good.
