Present something concrete, visible, credible and useful.
Create a project, thesis or expression rather than gossip. Create one so everyone can look after it, value it and argue over it.
You had presented nothing over Twitter opposition, Twitter intellectualism or Twitter politics. I’m not writing this because I am underestimating the social media. In our time, even revolutions are being planned over the social media.
However, political struggle requires depth beyond social media. It requires responsibility, severity, expression and a project related with being one step ahead social media. As for the step further; if there is nothing to calm down the tumult, then social media will turn into terror.
Intellectual terrorism
Turkey’s biggest problem is intellectual terrorism, not politics. Culture terrorists are conducting an aggression, which is only based on destruction, with unbelievable irresponsibility and by not paying attention to the next step.
You will not encounter this in any other country. You will not encounter an intellectual circle, which targets the country’s common good, sabotages it, and is more aggressive and destructive than a foreigner, in any other country. You will not encounter this between intellectuals, politicians or journalists.
In any Western country, the limit of criticism is set. That limit is the criticism itself. There is a line between criticism and attack. One step beyond that is destruction. No one will target their country or their country’s common good. When you speak to them, you can discuss or criticize Turkey for hours. However, they will not share a single word about their country with you. In this sense, there is no other country that has such wide frame of freedom of expression in Turkey when it comes to sensitive topics.
They can even make a calling for the “President’s assassination”!
They swear at the President, threaten him, make a calling for his assassination and target his family. They will even tell his pilot to crash his airplane. It's such an ugliness, worthlessness and insolence.
Such treachery does not exist in any other country. These have no sanction; after all, the matter here is not sanction. You cannot prevent something with sanctions. The matter is worthlessness and the recklessness cast by malice and hatred. Unfortunately, contact writers, opinion leaders, columnists are all deep in this worthlessness. Thus, other than the terror wave they’ve created, they have no existence. They’ve become disreputable. They aren’t even considered by the Turkish public. In this sense, culture terrorist landed the biggest blow on the intellectual production, not politics.
This is treason
The Prime Minister travels to New York and meets with financial circles. The objective is to mobilize the Turkish economy even more. Turkey is a country which is experiencing an economic leap. Of course, some people won’t believe this, but this is how the world perceives us. If they raise their heads and look at the world with good intention, forget about the world if they even look at their neighborhood, they will eventually see the miracle happening. However, isn’t it impishness, evilness; they will not stop.
They make an inconceivable fuss in order to invalidate the visit. An American writer’s “There is an economic panic in Turkey” themed article is being handed around. Then, next thing you know, you find out that the context of that writer’s article had been transmitted from Turkey. This article, in which there is a “There is a panic in Turkey” mood and which is being handed around by parallel structure circles, has been completely written after their order.
This is treason.
Recently, we all witness as these circles become the most destructive and harmful lobby against Turkey in the world. In the US, European countries, international platforms and every country they can reach, they are working hard to harm Turkey. They desire to see the economy collapse, terrorism increase, the Resolution Process fall through, political chaos erupt and a civil war break out; so that they once again become satisfied. In their minds, if they are going to win, let Turkey be ruined; they don’t care.
This is no rulership struggle. This is no settling accounts with the rulership; this is sheer hostility towards Turkey.
Defending Turkey or defending the political rulership?
There is an urgent necessity for depth criticism in Turkey. Every rulership is in need of these criticisms. The rulerships exist at the same rate they are criticized; as it’s criticized, it will re-establish and question itself. However, this is not the issue in Turkey. The problem is; the personal, environmental and narrow rulership interests are forestalling Turkey’s interests. Within this frame, there are no ethical values left. These circles are conducting every kind of destruction activity, including street terror. They have no theses for the next step after this destruction.
They cannot/will not even realize the difference between defending the rulership and defending Turkey’s interests.
They cannot/will not realize the difference between being against the rulership and working to the detriment of Turkey.
Yes, there is substantial culture terrorism in Turkey. This is a primary threat and it reached a point that harms the country. It’s such a misfortune to see people, who cannot produce a single word other than aggression and has no such worries, writing and talking over Turkey.
Where are those strong writers?
I’ll not give you their names. You already know them; now look where those once strong writers are now. Oh, the answer is ready; “Politics liquidated them”. No, these people liquidated themselves. While talking about Turkey, they suddenly imprisoned themselves in a narrow spot. They couldn’t keep up with the change in Turkey and the world. They fail to renew themselves and become unable to create a communal value. They fed such deficiency with the malice and hatred within themselves and created a cover: “Politics liquidated us”.
See where they are, where they are scattered now. All of them joined the side of the culture terrorists. They faded away. From now on, they have no communal response in this country, if things go as they are, this will not change.
It’s the end of the road for them!
They should understand this; the Turkish community is not only looking after the ones, who are creating malice, hatred and infidelity, nor listening to them nor taking them seriously. How can the traditional opposition party’s failure in creating a new thing during AK Party’s 13-year rulership reign, and failure to present a new road map or create a political expression be explained? Can there be such failure and shallowness? How can these parties, with what justification or expression, ask for votes? The point of the culture terrorists and these parties are not much different.
In no country in the world, can you encounter such distortion, failure story or sad display.
Neither the traditional opposition party nor the intellectual mind managed to get a step ahead of AK Party’s expressions. Whether you accept this or not, this is a fact. There is no strange situation for a country to see politics get ahead of intellectual production. This is a serious loss. This is what the people, who cannot create anything other than profanity and infidelity, should ponder on.
New names must come forward in the intellectual community, other than culture terrorists and announcers, and become able to create something constructive. As for the vociferous ones, it’s the end of the road!
