Allow me to leave a note here.

All the promises and guarantees U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson made in Ankara yesterday, all offers aimed at normalizing relations between the two countries are going to turn out to be lies. The U.S. will have made another addition to its history of lies. This is because all the promises they made to us in relation to the operations they have been conducting in our region around Turkey for the last two decades have turned out to be lies.

They all had an agenda; this hidden agenda was largely carried out through “Friendship and partnership with Turkey.” The time came and that hidden agenda started to strike Turkey; it became clear that the project would conclude with the establishment of the “Turkey front.” They wanted to open this front through the July 15 attack and that is when we stood up.

We took action with the Euphrates Shield and Afrin operations and started to protect ourselves. These two operations negated their deceptive maneuvers, revealed their hidden agenda and alarmed the U.S. because that great project continuing step by step since the invasion of Iraq, reached its end.

Starting the Syria war with the invasion of Iraq, Turkey being left alone in the partnership formula and all projects in Syria and lastly, establishing partnership with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and striking our country has made the secret aspects of the great project uncontainable. The discourse of “partnership, alliance, and good relations” has become futile.

The disparity between statements and actions, everybody in the U.S. making statements opposite to one another, the promises U.S. President Donald Trump made to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan being negated by the Pentagon and CIA, the image that U.S. troops in Syria are acting on their own – like a sort of organization – has dragged Turkey-U.S. relations to the toughest period in its history. Turkey had no concern other than protecting itself.

Nobody should expect us to remain silent in the face of our own country being struck and the desire to divide our country in the name of friendship with the U.S. Nobody should try to keep us busy, or slow us down with friendship or partnership games. No country can remain silent to something like this – neither will Turkey.

We believed their promises for two decades, knowing they were lies. Most of the time, we had no choice but to believe them because we had other problems, because Turkey was experiencing difficulty in drawing its own path, and because Turkey was being hit internally, one after the other.

We took action with our own truths for the first time. A national state mind matured for the first time. We succeeded in defining those who are a threat to us in our own language for the first time. Once we took action, in panic, they started to swarm to Ankara. They had nothing in their hands other than old promises and guarantees.

When drowning the PKK in weapons, when targeting all sensitivities of this country from the border with Syria and from within Turkey, they started to flock to our doors. U.S. Secretary of State Jim Mattis making absurd statements such as, “If necessary, we can get the Syrian Democratic Forces [SDF] to fight with the PKK,” is a sign that even the U.S. is having difficulty finding lies. This was the most disgraceful of lies. It is impossible to believe that a country can fall to this state or think it can deceive a country like Turkey in this way.

Let us note the following:

From now on, in Syria or anywhere else, none of our strategic priorities will overlap with the U.S. We tested this many times, we know it, we see it. From now on, we anticipate where else we will experience areas of conflict, and separation.

As this is the case, looking at the region through the U.S.’s lens will make us pay extraordinary prices. Because the planning in northern Syria is for the Turkey front. It is for Israel’s priorities. It is for the continuation of July 15. If we believe those lies once more today, we will have to deny the July 15 attacks.

The U.S. troops in Syria are being controlled by a different force. Nobody knows who said what in Washington. We don’t have a U.S. standing against us. There is a division in the power domain. Some of the structures within the state have divided into gangs and they work like a separate state. If this is the case, which U.S. are we going to take as our addressee? Whose promise will we believe? Tillerson’s promise will be rejected by the Pentagon, it will be rejected by the CIA; all those promises will remain in the air, as if we don’t know.

Everything was based on keeping Turkey busy. It has been this way for years. It has been this way since the Syria war started. Even the start of the war was configured over this, because Turkey would be the main front; the atmosphere would be ready step by step.

Yet we see that some continue to play the game from the inside. Supporters of Tillerson’s statements on the inside are in efforts to keep Turkey busy, at least as much as the U.S.

Turkey’s political mind should consider that this is not a terror issue. This is not an issue about the regime in Syria. It is also not an issue limited to severing relations between Turkey and the U.S.

Let everybody know that a new geography is being established. The change of the region is the change of minds. It is the change in the way we look at ourselves, our country, the world. How much of it will be from us, how much of it will be foreign will be decided by this change in the region

Just as it changed in World War I, just as it changed in the previous great crises, now, the entire region, the map is changing in the same way, it will change.

The issue is what will happen to us, how much we will be, up to where we will be, how much we can determine this region in the new region, beyond all those tactic wars.

This means a long-term perspective condition toward the unambiguity of the future from the depths of history. The view must be absolute. Our view should not be shaped based on the small plans of certain native groups or according to the overlapping regional interests of some other countries.

This is the first time the U.S. has become helpless in terms of determining this region. It is unable to do what it wants and will not be able to do it either. This new region cannot be determined without us; that map cannot be drawn without us, because, this is the first time that in-depth view has gained prominence in such a powerful way.

Let us also note that it is not possible to reach an agreement other than the U.S. withdrawing from those lands, severing its ties with the PKK, taking back the weapons it provided, and forsaking all its plans through the PKK that are disrupting to Turkey.

They are trying to get close to Turkey, cooperate in Syria, and concern Russia and Iran and to sabotage the regional rapport between Turkey and Russia with Iran. This is today’s plan.

Do you know what this will result in? Turkey will be left all alone. The moment this result arises, the moment its cooperation channels with Russia and Iran are harmed, that is when the U.S.’s lie maneuver will be successful. That is when we, when Turkey will never again be able to find the opportunity for regional cooperation. With any country…

That is when we will be thrown from one wall to the other within the U.S. and Israel’s regional games. That is when we will not be able take any step in the name of protecting Turkey. That is when the U.S. will work more closely with the PKK, push Turkey into a corner and switch to the last stage of that hidden agenda.

That is when the native operators of the U.S. and PKK’s games will take action. Turkey will not fall for this game.

We don’t pay attention to promises. We will not believe any promise while our troops are being martyred and our tanks are being struck by U.S. weapons, while our civilians are being massacred by the PKK, which has become the U.S.’s paid troops.

This time, we will not fall for this game. Nobody should have such hope!
