It has been over a week since I have been under constant and systematic attack. The media and social media gangs financed and controlled by the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Mohammed bin Zayed and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are bombarding both Turkey and myself with hefty accusations, insults and threats.

Looking at the unimaginable claims, disgusting attitude and strange delirium and conspiracies, I can see how the Arab streets have been poisoned, disconnected from reality and weakened, and how minds have been confused and provoked for a purpose that is foreign to its own country and region.

I normally wouldn’t take such attacks seriously, and I never have in the past. This is neither arrogance nor a lack of humility. When it is about Turkey, this country’s great struggle, and carrying the millennium-old political tradition and genetic to the present, I am someone who becomes focused on the struggle with extraordinary sensitivity and determination. The future of Turkey and the region is my main axis, and it will continue to be so.

Had I been caught up in the insults, attacks and slander I experienced domestically in Turkey over the last five years alone, or had I been afraid of the personality campaigns and assassinations carried out today by another “group” I know very well, I would not have written such articles in the first place.

This is why I am trying to evaluate the attacks directed at me from the Arab world on an axis of interaction, influential clout and a conflict of powers rather than in fear. Even though these attacks are organized “internally” as well, even though they are in parallel with the threats of certain organizations, my stance, as always, will be to pursue the truth.

I pursued this topic and will continue to do so because the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi revealed a newly founded group in the region – to which I have been insistently trying to draw attention for a year – and made it known to all, because it exposed the sordid war and campaigns this group is conducting against Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and because of my concern about the multinational projects against both Turkey and our region.

I know that those seeking to turn our country in to a “playing field” and humiliate it and those trying to prevent us from reaching the region within the context of the “new order” they are working to establish are playing out another scenario internally at the same time and are acting with a political objective, using the covert operation and terror method, have very evil aims and have been implementing these for some time.

It is not befitting of me to pen a daily polemical piece and act like I do not know this when I do. If Turkey is fighting, if it is in a big regional and global showdown, if it is actualizing breakthrough projects, and if it has adopted achieving centuries-old political goals as its objective, then we owe it to this country, this nation, history and the future to take place in the frontlines of this showdown.

It does not match the essence of this nation to think about daily comforts and act upon insignificant expectations while this is the case.

Panic is the reason why the paid soldiers of the crown princes of the UAE and Saudi Arabia targeted a journalist in Turkey. Their fear of someone who wields solely a pen is an indicator of the power of writing and the truth. It is their knowledge of what we know that scares them and causes them to panic. It is because they know what we are sharing with the Arab streets with these articles and what more we can say.

We never targeted Saudi Arabia. We would never and could never target a country in the region or a Muslim country. On the contrary, we targeted a multinational project that will also bring the end of Saudi Arabia, we targeted those who have assumed roles in the regional leg, and the Turkey leg of that project – and we will continue to do so.

This is due to the fact that there are efforts to build a “new wave of alienation” against that which is native, that which belongs to us – regardless of what political identity it encompasses. They attempted this previously using the ethnic identity, they attempted it using the sectarian identity, and they attempted it by using left-wing groups. This time they are attempting an “alienation” project through the conservative/Muslim identity. They are taking hostage the Muslim identity.

This is the new design targeting both Turkey and the region. This design is constructing an anti-Turkey front; it is trying to build an Arab axis. Simultaneously, it is forming a new “opposition” and “intervention” network internally through the Arab axis. They want to strike us, the region, and the historic showdown with the Muslim identity. Because they know how helpless and inactive the region will be against this identity.

This is the matter we are discussing through the Khashoggi murder. This information terrifies them and causes them to panic. There is a communication/media campaign in Turkey aimed at attacking, defaming and scaring those who have this knowledge, similar to the operations that caused the silencing of some in their own country and forced others to stop talking and writing.

They are not afraid of us but rather terrified of themselves, their own people, and their own streets. They are scared of the political language produced by Turkey and the language of freedom being so effective. Through these hired men, they are trying blur minds and defend themselves under the guise of “homeland and national defense.”

But regardless of what happens and the project being implemented, they are unable to do anything against Turkey’s stance, the language it produces, and the stance it has taken. A while later, they will see much clearer how the “Turkey axis” will be the determining factor in the new global and regional conjuncture. Those trying to lay the psychological foundation of the new intervention wave internally will also realize this.

This is why the articles in question are perceived to be so “shattering” from the Persian Gulf to Egypt, this is why they are shown as terrifying, this is why they are the subjects of television discussions, and this is why the two crown princes are so disturbed by them.

We are exposing a great and imminent threat of which they are the regional undertakers and we are trying to inform both our country and the region about it. A preparation that is going to abolish the region has been discerned. When something is exposed, the threat it poses is halved.

Our media outlets, columnists and television commentators’ duty is to focus on the great struggle and exhibit a collective stance. It must be known that nobody has the right to form an “area of irresponsibility.”

The campaign that has been ongoing relentlessly for a week may include threats too. But there is benefit in us thinking once more about the influential power of this new communication and showdown language while in this period of shallowness, our media is unable to produce content and language.

Like we said, the “Turkey axis” is also the “region axis,” and it is a centuries-old mind. Thus, I am calling not only journalists but everyone who produces ideas - poets, artists, scientists, politicians, and nongovernmental organization representatives - during this turn in time to forge a strong intellectual infrastructure to serve this great goal, to produce and fight. Come on, let’s get out of our comfort zone a little.

Politicians and our people are ahead of the others in this regard. Therefore, these groups must also join this production and showdown with full enthusiasm. Believe me, such strength will transform the entire region.
