New Turkey is a project. This is the re-designing and re-establishing of Turkey after a century.
New Turkey is the declaration of the end of the World War I and the construction of a new country.
It is the answer and the challenge of Anatolia, which always starts an absolutely new rise after every disaster, to the World War and the centenary guardianship period following that.
It is a new establishment agreement, a new communal agreement.
It"s the removal of borders in our minds. It constitutes putting an end to polarization according to conflict zones and artificial political identities that are imposed on us. It is the initiation of calling the history, brotherhood, unity and the common memory in present time as a country, a nation and an Anatolian, with the Seljukian, Ottoman realization.
New Turkey amounts to radical and structural alterations in foreign policies, the economy, and social policies and with the centenarian perspective of Turkey. It means the breaking of memorization, the renovation of our political language and the radical alteration of our view on the country and the world.
From a nation state to a world state
It stands before us as the user-friendly road map of the transformation from a nation state to a world state. It means the Turkey, which is expansive towards the geography and the world, and is extroversive rather than being an introverted state.
Whether you accept it or not, Tayyip Erdogan is the architect of this great transformation. Being the President of Turkey, who was elected with the votes of the public, he will extend his leadership in a stronger way.
Choosing Ahmet Davutoglu as the AK Party Chairman and the Prime Minister is one of the most critical thresholds of the New Turkey project. The great march will continue more powerfully than it had ever been before. With the support of a strong cabinet and strong community, Erdogan and Davutoglu will close the twentieth century parenthesis, balance the accounts and put their signatures to the establishment of New Turkey.
In no period of its political history did Turkey ever have such a strong President, who had been directly chosen by and spearheads the community, and a strong Prime Minister, who possesses the same perspective with the President, and the support of the nation behind it.
During this historical breaking point period, this beginning of a new history period, thinking that all of these are coincidences amounts to being blind. The accumulation, memory and consciousness of the Seljukian-Ottoman are being transmitted to the Republic via Erdogan and Davutoglu. With the most political heritage of the world, a new establishment is being shaped.
Seeing this period as a part of Turkey"s traditional political past, would be bad luck. This period will leave marks, on not only Turkey, but also the political shaping of the geography. In this sense, for the first time New Turkey will become prominent in the global sharing of rulership as an actor.
History will write the betrayal
Because of this, the attacks on people, who are constructing a new country, saying something to the geography, wanting a part from the global rulership area, are understandable. However, if the attack is coming from within, then it means that there is collaboration with the ones against this period, and this is called betrayal. This is not a slapdash opposite stance, but rather it"s a type of betrayal that will occupy pages in Turkey"s political history. Now, the time is a time where "who is holding what kind of a position" is the most important.
The foundations of a strong President, a strong Prime Minister, a strong cabinet, a strong political support/flow and a strong Turkey, are being laid. Erdogan had always answered the questions related with "Who will be the Prime Minister", with this formula.
And it happened so…. Davutoglu, the Prime Minister, who came from the heart of Anatolia, will be the biggest implementer of this great project after Erdogan.
A Seljukian-Ottoman accumulation
Along with Davutoglu, the historical memory, common consciousness, common identity will become prominent in a more distinct way. This will be the second establishment period after the establishment of the Republic. After the struggles of the ones, who had taken shelter in Anatolia, in the geography, which is hurled by the World War I, in the name of protecting the existential, a new establishment strategy will be conducted for Turkey. The accumulation of Seljukian and Ottoman will be called to the present time. The power and unity, challenge, reshaping the geography and new partnerships will be replacing conflicts, disintegration and being stuck in a nation state.
Davutoglu is the only name who can read this period and possesses that knowledge. I believe that, he will be supported with a strong cabinet, which is shaped in the frame of the same claims, ideals and tenacity. This great march, which is spearheaded by Erdogan"s strong leadership, will essentially present itself from this point on. The people, who are in the expectation of "Will they disintegrate", will be witnessing the strongest government of AK Party rulerships, during the period of Erdogan"s Presidency.
I believe that the new cabinet will be shaped around these ideals.
Mind yourselves. Don''t perceive the new government under Davutoglu"s leadership as an ordinary government.
We are talking of a new structuring that will complete the Turkey revolution.
