Turkey’s internal policies, our regional, global, and social mobilization policies are all going to take shape in accordance with great storms, major victories, or devastating defeats.

In the new world, where reality and fiction have become intertwined and indistinguishable, communities are going to take sides in accordance with the shock waves experienced. The world of the future is going to be built on these shock waves. As a matter of fact, today, we have already started living in the world of the future.

The post-World War II Europe-based political discourse, the U.S.-based vulgar and exaggerated propaganda have all lost their authority. Nobody wants the “American dream” anymore. Nobody believes in common European values anymore.

Living in the U.S., being “European” no longer holds any value for masses living in anywhere on earth. That “wannabe period” is over. Expectations have been ruined. This has been the West’s biggest loss in the 21st century.

This is due to the fact that the West no longer has monopoly over power, wealth, human resources, living standards, technology, and capital. It has spread to other areas, countries, and regions. New hubs of attraction have developed.

Nations and cultures no longer believe that “Western civilization is superior,” that the “West’s power and lifestyle is superior,” that the “West is sovereign.” They no longer ascribe value to themselves in comparison to the West’s superiority.

Critical power domains, fields of wealth and life have developed. There is no longer any limit to knowledge and technology. The power monopoly that this presents, the power monopoly afforded by economic and political systems is long out of the West’s hands.

The world is no longer established through freedom and democracy or through multiculturalism. There is a relentless showdown over power and resources. This is the only factor that determines what motivates states and communities to act.

Humanity has never before witnessed such speed. The mind’s limits have never been pushed so hard. The limits of knowledge have never been expanded to this extent. Technology has never forced the mind’s limits to this magnitude.

The perception of power, civilization, culture, region, and national claims are going to be redefined in accordance with these new circumstances.

This being the case, some nations, communities, and countries are going to experience an extraordinary power surge, while many countries that were thought to have unlimited power and wealth are going to surprisingly take their final bows.

This is going to be a storm that we have not seen for centuries.

This is the sort of storm Turkey is caught up in today. Both the good and bad are related to this extraordinary situation. The efforts to corner it on all borders and in the entire region, the efforts to weaken it from within are connected to this.

We have no other choice but to make big claims and join major showdowns. We are being attacked on all fronts because we have these claims and we posses such a political legacy.

Countries that are hostile towards one another are joining forces against Turkey. Political groups in Turkey that couldn’t even tolerate each other’s existence are gathering under a single roof. Yet, to no avail; they cannot stop Turkey. They cannot take control over it. They cannot make it surrender like they did in the past.

This is because Turkey is acting with its centuries-old perception of the region, its state mind that has had millennia of experience. It is investing in an extraordinary power rise as being right alone does not suffice.

We discovered natural gas in the Black Sea. This is just the beginning. Great fortunes are going to be revealed, one after the other. Much greater resources are going to be announced. They went crazy!

Once energy resources are revealed in the Mediterranean as well, they are going to go insane.

Now, all the “looters” are starting to flock to these regions. A century later, they are attacking Turkey once again. They started to form alliances aimed at sieging and isolating it in its own region in an attempt to immobilize it. They all started to attack Turkey.

France came, the U.S. came, European countries came, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) came, Greece came, some Arab countries came, Israel came. They are all taking position around Turkey now.

The hostile attitude displayed by some Arab countries in Turkey’s great regional fight will forever be etched in our people’s memories.

We wanted to possess oil back in the time of Ottoman Sultan Abdulhamid as well. We knew what riches we had within our borders. They destroyed the empire. They destroyed the region. They divided the oil resources among themselves.

They drew maps for this purpose; they distributed countries among themselves and formed oppressive administrations, while others’ ethnic feelings were provoked. They colonized all these states throughout the 20th century. They forced governments on them and plundered their resources.

They also activated those within the country against the Ottoman Empire. Whoever opposed Abdulhamid back then are now opposing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan today. Whoever abandoned him back then, those who come from the same political tradition today, are now abandoning Erdoğan. Those who committed treason back then are doing the same thing today.

Those who weakened the Ottoman Empire back then are now seeking ways to weaken Turkey today and establishing alliances for this sake. Thus, they are betraying Turkey.

Every attempt, every discourse, every political pursuit, every effort aimed at toppling Erdoğan, every political figure and group today are affiliated with them. They are their “Trojan horses” within.

But a century ago, we were an empire that collapsed. Today, we are a rising power. A century ago, they rose we weakened. Today, they are getting weaker as we gain strength. For the 21st century, this is going to be the biggest miscalculation they made concerning Turkey.

The history of humanity is a history rife with conflict. There has never been a history of peace. If there is going to be a conflict in such a showdown, it will happen. Power is often consolidated through conflict. This has always been the case.

A caveat to the armies, fleets, countries gathering in our south and west; France, the U.S., Israel, Arabs, Greeks, or whoever is joining those alliances and fronts:

Do not attack this nation’s legacy. Do not attack this country’s political mind. Do not stand against it. Take a look at its thousand-year history , look at the centuries-old region.

The more you continue to attack, siege and threaten, you will get your comeuppance.

Let us end with President Erdoğan’s message to the world from Malazgirt (Manzikert):

“We no longer have any patience left for fake bullying. Never in history have we surrendered to the oppressors, and never have they been able to subdue our people. Byzantine heritage passed over to the Ottoman Empire.

Turkey will take what it rightfully owns in the Mediterranean, the Aegean Sea, and in the Black Sea.

We want everybody to see that Turkey is no longer a country whose patience can be tried, whose determination, means and courage can be tried. If we say we will do it, so we shall – and we will pay for it too. If there is anybody who wants to stand against us, please be our guest. Otherwise, move out of the way.”
