We know that the AK Party is not only a political party, but a political understanding and a political movement, as well. We also know that its sole goal is not to become the ruling party, but is rather re-formatting Turkey in accordance with the global conditions of the 21st century, transforming and normalizing it.
“Closing the parenthesis of the 20th century” is an AK Party expression and this is an expression which makes the Turkish society ecstatic, mobilizes it and revives its confidence. The notion of “New Turkey” is not a meager effort to hunt votes. The nucleus of this notion was filled by the nation and the primary source of the societal support for the AK Party is based on such notions and projects.
It is the second great revolutionary wave which took place in the first few years of the 21st century, after the revolutionary wave which existed in the first years of the Republic around the early Twentieth Century. Even though the political identity and rhetoric are not exactly the same, there are parallels between the two in terms of the domestic resistance supported by foreign powers back then, and the domestic resistance of today in terms of their characteristics. Because both periods were eras of a new establishment.
A first in the history of Turkey…
You see, it is precisely today’s date at which Turkey has captured the second wave. We witness efforts to stop this wave in our everyday lives. We are going through the projects which are implemented against the walk of New Turkey, which has been proceeding for the last thirteen years, set to transform and strengthen Turkey and we see the fronts created within and outside of Turkey.
In that case, there is a great mission and the second founding cadre is pioneering an advancement movement by putting an end to the frozen history of the 20th century, through the use of a new political mindset. Now, there is a country whose ice has been broken. The architect of this transformation and restructuring is the AK Party. This is why the AK party is not just a political party, but the force of the Turkish society to transform the political scene and the state.
AK Party is the most reformist and transformational force in the history of the Republic. However, there’s one thing: in reality, the actual transforming power lies within the Turkish society itself and this is a first in the Republican history. For the first time, the transformative power of the society and the bases are restructuring Turkey, whereas before the state had the transforming power. No other political party was able to act in reconciliation with this power except for AK Party.
These debates will do no harm to AK Party
This power does not only continuously revive AK Party, but it also transforms Turkey. The power created by AK Party’s professional intellect and the desire for societal transformation has become the strongest political current in Turkey, like a great wave. The weakness of the traditional opposition’s political rhetoric and their understanding of Turkey, it seems like this will continue for a while. Because this is the greatest naturalization struggle of our history, the second independence struggle which will build Of course this does not mean that abrasive debates should be seen as normal. The damages caused by those who cannot tolerate this historical mission and those who turn it into personal calculations, and those who run after political or economic interests is evident. Them too, like the ones before them will be eliminated and counteracted in this long walk. The great walk of Turkey will not be deadlocked by their debates and personal agendas.
To tell you the truth, everyone who sees themselves against this historical transformation will in some way will be erased from the pages of history. The Turkish society will not sacrifice the mission they have supported, fed and sustained for their personal agendas, and will replace them with other names, keeping that dynamism alive.
Erdoğan’s revolutionary power, Davutoğlu’s state intellect
The only thing that will weaken the AK Party and erase it from the hearts and minds of Turkish society is to leave this mission. Even in such a case a the political understanding to replace it will have the same goal and mission, and a new political movement would be manifested. Solely, Erdoğan’s revolutionary power and Davutoğlu’s state intellect will produce a much stronger common intellect despite the previous years and strengthen the mission.
Today, the rhetoric and perspectives of political circles outside of the AK Party are almost generations behind in terms of this political intellect and there are no signs that they will close this gap in the near future. Therefore, perhaps in the new period, the mission will hit the top with the participation of new and stronger political figures following the general elections which will be held on June 7.
You see, we support this mission. The thing that we support and at times side with, is not a political party in the strict sense, but rather a political movement, and represents the great walk, transformation and reshaping of Turkey in line with conditions of the 21st century, the desire for a strong Turkey. We are aware of the shallowness of the criticism directed against us for our position.
Insolence..
We witnessed the peak of destructive opposition attempts to bring Turkey to her knees during the street terror spread during the Gezi Park Protests, and the December 17 coup operation. Ukraine and Egypt became samples of their proposed projects for Turkey. It is a only a dream for the societal base –the real architect of the transformation- to side with those attempting to bring Turkey back to its tutelage days.
Both Gezi and December 17 have largely cleared the question marks in the nation’s heads. As they were collaborating with foreign intelligence services their reaction to those who support the mission pioneered by the AK Party is nothing but insolence. And these circles have never presented any concrete projects to the society, except for tremendous hatred and grudge.
The effort to create opposition from within
Now they are occupied with thinking if they can install an opposition wave within the AK Party and are pulling out all the stops to achieve this. They are scheming filthy plots to create a crisis between President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Davutoğlu. This is actually a state of complete bankruptcy for them. If this is their only hope, then it means they have nothing in their hands.
Unfortunately, there are some within the AK Party, or its supporters, who fan the flame. Those who had voluntarily joined this team have different agendas, but those who unwittingly fan the flames should be aware that they are being watched.
The power, opportunities, political identity and popularity in the media they acquired, thanks to this political movement, may be condemned by that mission if they serve these to the projects of others. We know very well that those serving the insidious campaign, which aims to destroy the faith and confidence in that mission, are no different than those who wrote about the Kurdish issue for decades but did not write a sentence about the crisis. Their hands will be empty in the next scene.
The same way Yeni Şafak will not take place in a schemed dispute, it will also not become the floor for the debates some circles provoke.
