Yeni Şafak's documents and Gülen's Freemasonry structure

Yeni Şafak is shedding light on the history of Turkey and a number of issues we discuss, through an exclusive file series consisting of historical documents, which will continue to be released according to İbrahim Karagül's column from yesterday. The documents which started to pile up amidst Turkey's busy agenda including the attack on Çağlayan courthouse and the announcement of deputy candidates, as well as unrelenting regional developments such as Iran's nuclear accord since March 30, have already started to seriously disturb some circles. A conscious defamation campaign and a systematic attrition operation against Yeni Safak have already been started. I personally think this situation will not make my newspaper take a step back, but will actually encourage it to reveal more. However, I find it rather astounding that there are intellectuals, historians and journalists who do not even bother discussing the authenticity of the documents in scientific manners, but choose to call them “lies” without even taking a look at them and embrace childhood attitudes when doing so and say, “I will not check them out.” The most rational explanation to this is the fact that they are choosing to conform to peer pressure. However, on the other hand I find it very consistent that the ones who have direct connections to those whose names are mentioned in the documents refuse the claims, considering the severity of the information exposed. For as much as the information exposed in and claimed by the documents is not something that can be swept under the carpet.

I am not a historian, I cannot authenticate a document by looking at its paper or ink, but as far as we know, Şükrü Kaya and İsmet İnönü were not so fond of each other and were in a fight, so I cannot claim that a document revealing their discussions behind the doors is “fake or fabricated” by skimming through it. In today's world, I find it impossible to simply brush things off by saying “everything is as it seems”, after seeing how people we thought of as enemies could be friends in reality. A quick look at newspapers, websites and magazines from 2010 show that the truth was completely different in the first years of 2010, when Iran and America seemed like archenemies –despite the current picture,- the negative attitude of Fethullah Gulen and Gulenists towards socialist-communist structures -which significantly change as they are now supporting them-all prove this. Besides everything, for those who remember the WikiLeaks documents –consisting of numerous correspondence consisting of telegrams, facsimile and emails- exposed by Julian Assange five years ago, and the intricate relations revealed by these documents where dirty friendships were portrayed as enmity on screens, it will not be too difficult to compare these documents with new data and what we already know. Let us allow the parrots –official historians- repeat common knowledge and mind our own business.

One of the aforementioned documents sheds light on Fethullah Gülen's close ties with the Freemason Lodge through various files. Alright, but what is this Freemason Lodge that we all know the name of? The Freemason Lodge is the basic foundation unit of Freemasonry. Each lodge is guaranteed under a lodge that is greater than itself. With the exception of four large lodges, the agreements of the ones that are associated with others are administered with the lodge they are affiliated with. Freemasons have authority and privileges, and details about the Masonic structure, even information in accordance with their degree. In Freemasonry, the information and confidentiality of this information increases as the degree goes up. The organization, which is rooted in the early 17th century has an esoteric structure. Esoterism is the teaching of various secrets and what they are about, as well as obscure information that ordinary people are not familiar to, by a master to competent freemasons in secrecy from those who are not competent enough. So the members of freemason lodges who go around saying, “I am a Freemason too, we are only concerned with thoughts and nothing else” have no clue about what is actually going on in senior levels. Speaking frankly, such secure confidentiality principles and a chain of command resembling an army, as well as the obligation of each lodge and freemason to fulfill the orders, and the fact that only those at the top know about the freemasonry strategy and “What the Freemason Lodges actually do” –and how this is preserved like a secret- are all quite disturbing. It makes it difficult for you to believe that they are concerned with the intellect, ideas, science, humanitarian issues, philosophy and philanthropy as they claim.

A parallel pyramid structure could be found in the Gülen Movement with all of its obscurity, secrets and grotesqueness. I do not know about others, but in my experience, I have always felt a “plastic” feeling when communicating with members of the aforementioned movement, who present themselves as “servers” to the movement's so-called humanitarian cause. You realize a curtain of obscurity when you realize the esoteric strangeness, degrees, the chain of “brother” and “sister” –chiefs- of the “house, street, district, province, city” all remind you of the masonic structure.

In spite of the fact that they claim “our job is to serve people,” their attitude in both domestic and foreign policies and the projects they carry out, the platforms they establish all explicitly show that theirs is not just a matter of service, but is rather obtaining power and economic profit under the guise of philanthropy. In the last few years, as they are carrying out their plan to topple the democratically elected government, and comments are being made by their members within the media, police, judiciary and other state mechanisms regarding the economy, domestic and foreign policy. And their embracement of unlawful wiretapping recordings, as well as drawing an organizational scheme, coupled with obscurities contrary to the Islamic faith all show that they are not a religious movement, nor a non-governmental organization but rather a masonic structure where the ones at the bottom have no clue about what is going on at the top.

You probably know about the duck test: if something looks like a duck, swims like a duck and sounds like a duck, then that thing is accepted as a duck. The Gülen Movement acts, structures, and makes comments like a Freemason Lodge, and it is not strange to say that they are a Masonic structure. Today, Yeni Şafak says that they are revealing documents about a truth, which a majority of the Turkish society is certain about its authenticity. Then it is about time to stop and listen.
