Everyday is like 9/11: coronavirus another sign US must withdraw from MidEast

We have a very bad habit of not being able to see change while the “changes” are crystal clear.

The symbolism of the epidemic that manifested in New York and aircraft carriers alone is sufficient enough! The footage from the U.S. are images of a “third world country.” Is this not change? Do you not follow?

They think the virus is objecting to the globe’s political position. It is neither a living being nor lifeless! It thrives on human flesh; however the only species it needs to live is going to destroy it. The virus is a catalyst that increases speed and impact.

Prior to the virus, there was an objection regarding Western/U.S. privilege. That is the real epidemic. Transmission is from epidemic to epidemic.

The U.S.’s armament, which is greater than the total defense budget of seven powerful countries after it, is now anchored in its own cities. A nurse says, “Every day is like September 11.”

The Europe-backed U.S. hegemony transcends that of any empire in history.

There are many texts available stating that U.S. capitalism, which exploited the world, caused its own collapse. But this is not the issue. The issue is that there are “elites” who are refusing to make a connection between the U.S.’s privileged position in the world and the political and economic sinkholes the virus brought to the country. Let us not say they are refusing; it is not their habit to do so.

The same applies to the other countries as well. A number of intellectuals as well as scientists in our country whose duty it is to produce strategic ideas and project the future are saying that U.S./Western privilege, wealth and military power is capable of defeating the virus and, thus, the “order” is going to continue as is.

Yet the virus is nothing but an envoy.

Intellectuals who are unable to differentiate between the catalyst and substance are capable of burning down a country.

When you simplify the situation you can see the signs too; I am not referring to Europe as it is now burning out like a candle and no longer providing light. They are begging like Goethe on his deathbed: “Light! More light!” If the claim that “the unemployment rate in the U.S. may exceed 30 percent” materializes, who is going to save the health and insurance system?

Yet this is not the issue. Can almost all the U.S.-West-based global organizations foresee disasters? Can they stop their effects? Are they able to maintain stability? How resistant are they? How sensitive are they? Do society and the people believe the answers given and statements made by this order? In other words, are they reliable?

The virus did not produce these questions and their answers – which we already know. They already existed. But it enabled confrontation.

The U.S. and it European allies are responsible for the deaths of about 2.5 million people in Iraq alone in the last two decades. Just as the current tragedy in the U.S. has not led to any thought with respect to withdrawing from Baghdad; on the contrary, amid the epidemic, they are further strengthening the decision to fully settle in the Middle East. The coronavirus envoy says, “pull out.”

It is no secret that the dozens of global organizations, in which Turkey is also included, are decaying. It is impossible to ignore smell of decay. They are striving to produce an economic alternative and pull out the final tooth – that is the dollar-gold-oil-military force – through time.

“Nothing will ever be the same” is not a graffiti slogan. Mark the “nothing will change” discourse of those who undermine this. The reason they do not understand is because they do not have such a term in their brain attics.

Those who beat the disease are producing antibodies, in other words, they are including them in their records – meaning becoming immune to the virus. As for our people, they do not have rejection in their records. They have no antibodies. In other words, they are unable to recover from the disease! If you are not immune you cannot be independent.

The “post-virus” heading is just a description. However, the opposition to using the dollar as the global exchange currency is not only a description. The digital selling of non-existent gold is the same. The price of oil not budging despite it plummeting with a 10 million cut in oil production is the same.

There is political and economic rebuttal in the world. This is not classic anti-American sentiment or the flamboyance of youth standing against Western imperialism.

Last Friday, Mr. Ahmet Hakan of the Hürriyet daily cited an article by Dani Rodrik of Harvard.

According to notes by Hakan: “For example, Trump… is misleading and arrogant as expected! For example, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan… are more effective as expected! For example, China… It stopped the flow of information as expected and turned to stringent control! For example, Turkmenistan… It banned the word “coronavirus” and the use of masks as it would be expected! For example, Hungary…taking advantage of the opportunity, Prime Minister Viktor Orban moved further towards authoritarianism! Will the countries and leaders that are acting during the crisis as they did in the past not continue to follow the same path after the crisis as well? What about a change of mind? Is it possible? According to Dan Rodrik, it does not seem like it will change… It appears that the statement, ‘Nothing will ever be the same,’ is going to remain as wishful thinking.”

This is a good example: saying that the behaviors of said countries with Western-type values and criteria will not change. Amazing! Yet these are the very values and criteria that are diminishing. Saying nothing will change despite the “third world country images” and the corpses of their own citizens in mass graves! This is complacence. Thequestions in the above-mentioned article ignore this mentality anyway.

Yes, this is the state of those countries. These countries’ political stances may continue in the same way. Yet what about the tacit “objection” alliance they built? You cannot stop these countries with the Western values which nobody believes in anymore. Worthlessness cannot judge value.

This is not a perfect alliance. But it exists. As a matter of fact, it breeds on political-economic-moral-cultural reality.
