Let myopic people squint; Turkey-Iran-US elections!

The ex-President of Iran, Hashemi Rafsanjani's son, Mehdi Hashemi, has received a 10-year sentence for the crime of corruption and he has now been placed in a prison in Tehran. Father Rafsanjani's reaction was; “You'll be free soon!...”

This sentence is the most popular topic for political arguments in Iran nowadays. According to Rafsanjani's claims, the Ministry of Intelligence commanded the son of Rafsanjani to ask forgiveness from the religious leader Ayetullah Ali Hamaney, and threatened him with a 30-thousand-page-long case file, if he didn't follow his command. ('Rafsanjani's son is in prison' 09/08 and 'Rafsanjani's reaction on interference in jurisdiction', 12/08, AA)

The following is the message from these sentences, which are reflected on our media as well: Hamaney, whose political position is certain, wants to get Rafsanjani to kneel down and this is only the first sign of the politics that is heating up in Tehran…. Because, only 10 days ago, Hashemi Rafsanjani announced his candidacy for the elections…. ('Rafsanjani to run for seat in Assembly of experts', 04/08' PressTV.)

What's all this to us?..

Iran-West agreement is directed to change the Tehran regime

What if we were to say that there is a relation between Ankara's steering towards early elections following the Turkey-U.S. agreement, and the Tehran elections that will be held in February 2016?...

What if we also state that there is a link between the U.S. elections, which will be held towards the end of 2016, and the establishment of regional order's main/new columns? What if we say that all of them are the same?…

It's not possible for the U.S./West to not to have estimated the impact of this consensus in softening the sharp, thick faces of the Iran regime. However, the reverse angle was not stated; Iran's domestic dynamics, political balances and the power plans in Tehran had a clear link with the nuclear agreement reached with the West; and it will have results.

Elections in Iran will be held in February 2016. This ballot box might cause the reformists in the parliament, which has the authority to elect/remove the “Religious Leader” (who is holding the reins of the country), to regain supremacy over the conservatives! Players are clear, President Ruhani and reformist Rafsanjani (Sympathetic kids for the West) and the radicals (Naughty kids) who are being looked after by Iran's Army of Revolutionary Guards. A stern period is near for Iran. Both the foreign policy and the region will be affected. The expectation is; to have the agreement between Iran-West to affect the election results to the countenance of the reformists and to transform the regime. We are entering a period, which might have heavy results for all the actors we've arrayed, and the shock waves from it will even affect U.S. President Obama's political life and the 2016 elections.

Unavoidably, it leads us to pondering on whether Turkey's “early election” decision will effect Iran and U.S. elections…. Or the contrary!

If so, can we slide inside the dangerous borders and make out the results of the triad election set from now?...

Let's stop it here… We've changed the topic.

People who believe in eternal conflicts

Michael Flynn is an American general; however, he is not an ordinary one. He was in charge of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). He is one of the few people who can give deeper information related with the “operational and military intelligence”.

This man made a press statement last week. In summary, this is what he said: “The war in Iraq was a mistake; it caused the Islamic State to rise. The U.S. should be held responsible for the happenings. This 'system' is responsible for war crimes. The U.S. is investing towards conflicts. There is a problem in their strategies and this is the cause for terrorism. In the U.S., there are people who believe in eternal conflicts.”

And… This one also: “In 2012, the U.S. government knew about ISIL's existence and dominance in Syria. However, the White House used the organization in order to support their 'regime change' agenda in Damascus.”

Look…. He is not saying “disregarding ISIL”or “they were found practical in order to resolve the regional equations”. They already exist; however, he is saying that “they supported the organization in order to overthrow Assad and change the Damascus government”.

Journalists ask him, “Did the Obama administration overlook this issue?” The General's answer was as follows: “In my opinion, it was an intentional decision. An intentional decision in order to actualize the things they are doing now.”

Remember what was being said, inside and outside, to Ankara on this matter…. I wonder; which Turkish domestic policies Washington is being charging for their words!..

New center of a generation-long global war

Now, the U.S. is saying that ISIL might threaten Afghanistan. As you know, towards the end of 2016 –simultaneously with the U.S. Presidential elections- the U.S. declared that they might be withdrawing from the country. Now they are saying that: “Obama's promise for retreating from Afghanistan could not be the last thing said on this matter.”

The feared scenario is the U.S.'s desire to turn Afghanistan into a regional center for the war against ISIL. Besides, it was in U.S. Chief of Staff, General Martin Dempsey's words; for the sake of “a war that will continue for a generation.” We are cursed; the same Dempsey, after his meeting with Afghanistan President Esref Gani in Kabul, had made the following suggestion “The U.S. might need a military entity in Afghanistan for another 15-20 years in order to start a global war against ISIL.”

I guess I've missed something in the title…. Let the far-sighted people squint, too.
