Turkey is currently making history!

The description in the report presented by the U.S. Department of Defense to Congress on Nov. 15, in which the relations of two countries are evaluated, that "Turkey is an extraordinary geostrategic country," intersects with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement, "Turkey's administration is currently making history in foreign politics. And it is doing this together with world giants. The place where Erdoğan’s statement that says, “We have a Turkey that has achieved this both diplomatically and militarily” intersects with these findings is U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from Syria.

Those who advocated in Turkey that the U.S. would pull back in the event they were pressured constituted a very small group. Those who objected - or rather those who did not understand the matter - consisted of two groups. The first group is those who held on to the hackneyed idea that "there is no approval in opposition," and the alliance of those who are so "pro-American" that they are not aware how they look. The second group consists of those who invest in what is popular, without having any awareness of how this claim, and regional, global and internal pillars join.

US: 'We can no longer influence Turkey'

The "extraordinary geostrategic country" description, is the U.S.’s confession saying, "We can no longer make out what Turkey is going to do, and we can't control Ankara." There is an "extraordinary" country, and all methods to stop it have been exhausted.

The radical and rapid change in Turkey's internal political dynamics and the "destruction/construction" process in the global order meeting with different motives but at the same time and platform, created a blow-like synergy. Thus, this placed the "region and world" at the top of the public's interest and national security sensitivities. It is going to remain that way for a while.

The minority who pondered on foreign politics saw that the U.S. has regressed and will continue to regress, that especially in the event that it withdraws from Syria, it will have a clear impact on the region and all countries’ politics regarding the region, and what's more, they saw that it will "reveal" their real thoughts and policies, and advocated this on television programs and newspaper columns.

Turkey's military operation aimed at the Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) Syrian affiliate, the Democratic Union Party (PYD), and its armed wing People's Protection Units (YPG), brought the U.S. (military) face-to-face with the risk of "being left in the middle/crossfire."

They saw that all "anti-Turkey alliances established in the great Middle East" and their servants could get severely hurt, and as a matter of fact, collapse inward.

And that is what happened, but the course of events that resulted after this brought upon a brand new situation that can neither be understood nor controlled by the two "average" groups described above, and placed it in the middle of the table.

Where are Turkey's new 'extraordinary minds'?

Turkey has reached the potential of being more than an extraordinary geostrategic country, and its "relations," and the impact it produced from these evolved by reaching the level of super powers - and it sometimes surpassed them too.

In the simplest form, the "medium-sized country" standard imposed by the NATO/U.S. legacy aside, Turkey turned in to a global player that has the capacity to create strategic sink holes in all four directions, that sets foot on the area which the four sea basins turn in to a single helmet, and no country can ignore or tolerate its rapport with another country.

Now, with their description, which we will also happily accept, we have an "extremely strong Turkey." The term "extremely" is not in the sense that "it should not be," but in the form of, "how and with whom will this be controlled."

New conditions demand a perfect composition in the parts of foreign policy.

There is already an administration group under the patronage of the president in Ankara that brought it to this point and is ready to shoulder this new title. Similarly, there are those available in the Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry and Intelligence legs of the national security architecture as well. However, the academic, intellectual, media, political and opinion leaders, who have been "managed/tolerated" until now, need to be "upgraded."

How?

The elections may trigger this natural selection.

'Extreme' notes of the new era

France, Germany and the U.K. revealed their position and policies in the region, and we now know who stands where and how they view the equilibrium, including Turkey.

It is a natural right to approach a "miraculous" development such as the rapport between Russia and the U.K. with caution. But this statement has been made.

The path to rapport between Turkey and the U.S. has been paved, and how this is going to be managed together with Russia requires a separate scale. Trump may come to Turkey, and he might grab Jared Kushner by the ear and bring him too.

As the topic has been breached, while the silent ones are talking, Israel - which is silent while speaking - needs to be followed closely.

The suspicions with respect to trusting the U.S. should never be eliminated. But this time, other than their own words, incidents also support their attitude - such as the secretary of defense's resignation, the blow to the CENTCOM commander, and briefings showing that the CIA has comprehended the situation.

The gifts in the package presented to Turkey - whether it includes the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), the Patriot missiles decision, the retreat from Syria, or the Halk Bank directors-- is different; it signifies that the White House has seen that without Turkey, it will be left "all alone." Their hands are tied.

The claim of relations between Turkey and Daesh in the Syria crisis, supported by those "inside the country" as well, is now at a point where President Trump personally said, "You will take care of Daesh, right?"

Lastly, Trump's decision coinciding with the U.N.-mediated "Sochi meeting in Geneva" is a white flag
