Türkiye face-to-face with Western aggression...

The U.S., with support from West European countries, is threatening almost the entire world. They had harmed the non-Western world for centuries in various ways. Not enough emphasis was attached to this world’s imperative change. But the continent's population structure changed completely. Economists in particular, and scientists from different fields who follow them, may see no harm in repeating a Eurocentric history understanding under titles such as the blessings of globalization, yet in order to make sound projections regarding the future, we need to have an idea about the nature of imperialist aggression. It is quite clear that territory-based rivalry is making a comeback. All West Europe and U.S. proxy elements taking action shows the intensity of the aggression.

They besieged Türkiye for decades both internally and from outside. As revealed on the night of July 15, 2016, they were aiming cause an actual state in Türkiye based on their previously designed map drafts. They believed Türkiye would be taken over or neutralized by the elements within. The invasion attempt’s leadership, including the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization’s (FETO) ring leader, they were deployed very closely to Türkiye. The most important elements of their intelligence services conducted one of the most critical aggressions of our history against Türkiye. The crimes committed against Türkiye by Greece alone since that night seem to be pushing the limits of the competition. The question of “Why Türkiye?” cannot be limited to material fortunes and geopolitical value. Türkiye is keeping our entire nearby region standing almost alone while preventing a regional collapse at the same time. It would be wrong to answer the question of “Why Türkiye?” without considering this influence over our nearby region.

We need to ask the same question with regards to Russia. Russian territory is both vaster and richer in resources. About 10 million people have already migrated from Ukraine’s steppes. The vacation of extremely rich and fertile lands indicates a very different situation. Almost everyone agrees that it is an extraordinary state. One of the most important results of the war provoked particularly by the U.S. and the U.K. is the displacement of extremely big populations. The vacated lands, rich resources and millions of displaced people signal a systemic state. If the U.S. is drawing a big line from Greece towards the Baltic Sea, we can say it achieved success through Ukraine.

Starting from West African coasts to North and East Africa, Türkiye shows presence in a vast area against West European countries and the U.S. Türkiye’s influence in many African countries producing resistance against the new age imperialist aggression cannot be ignored. Though it is in competition against Türkiye, Russia’s presence in the same region gives rise to a result as well. Türkiye restricts Western imperialism’s area of maneuver in the Balkans and the Caucasus. This applies to Turkestan as well. The U.S. having to withdraw from Afghanistan has great significance. They destroyed Afghanistan for two decades, yet it still failed to hold on there. The fact that Turkic countries’ effort to form a union among themselves today is not appreciated is obvious from the indifference to the developments.  In addition to the indifference, we know from their own statements that groups suffering from the Western effect are not happy about the popular Samarkand photograph.

I am not interested in using new words, but exploitation/colonialism refers to the unjust and unlawful use of efforts and resources. This concept is not convenient to express ideas based on a place. Hence, those who embrace class-based approaches as a result of this have trouble understanding today’s world. The primary problem of those having difficulty understanding the European left’s unresponsiveness – and in fact its support – to nationalist policies is ideological blindness. This applies to Greece as well. Unfortunately, nationalistic groups are also suffering from placelessness. Liberal conservatives are experiencing the results of ideological blindness as well. They are also reducing today’s colonialist expansionism to the struggle between democracy and totalitarianism.

It is no ordinary event that Ottoman sultans like Sultan Abdulhamid II, who were able to produce resistance against the West, are placed on the target board again.
