Demand for structural change in the global system

During Trump's presidency, U.S. attacks on Turkey have become more explicit. Even though America's intention to stop, occupy and divide Turkey was known in the Gezi Park protests, the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) truck case, Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terror, and in the coup and division attempt on July 15, the U.S. started its overt attack during Trump's presidency.

Until July 15, Turkey's defense lines had been established inside the country. For this reason, it was obligatory to stand against U.S. attacks within the borders of Turkey. The same holds true for Germany, France, Britain, Israel which attack Turkey through terror elements such as PKK and the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ). But on July 15 "the barricades were not able to be destroyed" and the conditions have changed for all. Turkey lifting the imperialist siege that America represents immediately after July 15 through a line starting from Jarabulus and extending towards al-Bab, Afrin and Idlib was a result of the upholding of the internal “barricades”. Trump's America has introduced new means of attack as a continuation of this historical process.

Trump's America is not engaging in a direct attack against Turkey alone. In these days of financial attacks on Turkey, Trump has also targeted the Republic of South Africa. In the Republic of South Africa, the "land reform," which is in its project phase, is also on the U.S. target board. Because in the Republic of South Africa, the colonial era production relationship still prevails. In this country the land is largely in the hands of white colonialists. According to the land reform, which is in its early stages, certain large farms are planned to be disseminated among the public to some extent. Trump opposes this plan and presents it in the form of a racist attack on white people (colonialists) in the Republic of South Africa.

The Republic of South Africa is one of the countries where colonialism is practiced in the strictest sense in the history of colonialism. In the country, until now, racial discrimination was a form of government (apartheid) and the country was ruled by white colonialists. The relationship of the white racist minority with the Israeli government was also known. Time will tell whether or not the current administration can accomplish this plan. There is certainly a symbolic value. It should be noted here that the country’s administration does not pursue a policy that ostracizes whites. (For further reading please refer to İbrahim Tığlı's articles about the Republic of South Africa available on the Gerçek Hayat website.)

Turkey is also among the countries forced to adopt a most vehement struggle against a network of imperialist relations. These are the days this struggle gets more intense and furthermore, we do not even directly take an anti-West stance. Just like the slogan, "The world is bigger than five," Turkey has expressed its objection to the current global system at the highest level, and these objections are not restricted to discourse. Moreover, this objection has no similarity with Marxism's Eurocentrism and anti-imperialism of the Soviet era. Because Turkey does not represent an ideological extremism.

There are many examples indicating that Turkey's objections to the global system are not restricted to discourse. Its approach to the Palestinian cause is another matter. Somalia is the best example to show what Turkey would like to achieve through its objection to the current functioning of the global system. Since 2011, the modern methods the Somalis used to cultivate the soil has drawn great attention. The hunger and famine in Somalia had reached its peak at the time. Turkey's activities in Somalia were an omen of the beginning of a new era. As a matter of fact, there is a day-by-day improvement in agricultural production, which globally has symbolic value. Somalia is exemplary of the goal to be achieved by means of the liquidation of the colonial period. We should not forget America's attempt to invade Somalia in 1993 and its support for terrorist organizations years after.

It is said that Trump is supported mostly by southern Evangelical Americans in the U.S. (Please note that this distinction reminds us of the north-south conflict and slavery in America.) The current administration is threatening almost the whole world. But as we tried to explain, there is a desire for a structural and, of course, permanent change throughout the world. Turkey is right in the center of this desire for change. All indicators show that the process will be extended over a long period of time.
