Qatar, the Gulf's naughty child

Gulf countries ended the last week in the shadow of an interesting diplomatic crisis. The crisis that broke out with statements attributed to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, praising Iran, published by the Gulf country's state news agency, QNA, could not be halted despite the claim that, "The Qatar News Agency ... has been hacked by an unknown entity." Media in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt started an attack campaign with a joint strategy, personally targeting Emir Tamim. As a matter of fact, in the Egyptian newspaper Akhbar's editorial, the emir was even referred to as "the little child in Doha."
