Joseph Grew was U.S. ambassador to Ankara between 1927 and 1932. He was an observer at the Lausanne Conference. He gathered his memoirs in two books. The first book "The Lausanne Diary" was translated to Turkish. Let's read a part from Mr. Grew's memoirs on Ismet İnönü:
