What is his actual problem?

The head of the Supreme Court of Appeals, Ali Alkan, protested the new judicial package by saying, “how far will this intervention go?” He talks about the spirit of the constitution. He lends support to the parallel structure (the term used to refer to the Fethullah Gülen-led community)…

This outburst by the head of the Supreme Court of Appeals is related to his unease at the breaking of the parallel structure’s grip on the Supreme Court of Appeals.

So, according to his exalted Excellency…the parallel structure within the judiciary is extremely compatible with the spirit of the constitution!

Alkan, the head of the Supreme Court of Appeals, has no objection to the abuse of their positions and authority in the judiciary by members of the parallel judiciary… and no objection at all to the parallel judiciary making lawlessness systematic and creating an order of imposters!

This is what needs to be asked:

Is the head of the Supreme Court of Appeals part of the parallel structure’s “chain of command” or not?

                                                *

For those that raise their voices in favor of “the independence of the judiciary” or “the neutrality of the judiciary” when it comes to the judicial package…

-when parallel tutelage is at stake… judicial independence is not even a detail!

                                               *

They are erupting with rage since the parallel organization’s sovereignty over the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors has been lost!

                                                 *

On the basis of Alkan’s statement of “how far will this intervention go?”…

-The Hürriyet newspaper dived headlong into this topic and placed it just beneath its haughty logo!

Hürriyet, which is a stranger, also favors the reign of parallel tutelage in the judiciary. This is their understanding of judicial independence!

                                                 *

In one sense the “Institute of Parallel Standards” has been established in Hürriyet’s columns!

Three days ago, Hürriyet ran an eye-catching headline on its front page that read “Examination mistake brings resignation.” The news article under that headline was:

-After two mistakes were found in the questions for the university entrance examinations in South Korea, the national education minister issued a public apology. The head of the institution that prepared the questions announced his resignation.

Hürriyet has become obsessed with focusing on such news items where it tries to deliver messages indirectly!

That is fine…

The lordly Hürriyet gives up and doesn’t stay on the ball when the “University Examinations File” of the parallel structure is opened!

For instance in 2010, it was proved that exam information had been stolen from the computers of the ÖSYM, the body that conducts all large-scale examinations in Turkey, in what became the public employee placement examinations scandal…

The parallel structure was at the center of this scandal.

Can the deeply hidden barons of Hürriyet face up to this reality?

                                                     *

Since 1984… there have been exceptionally serious claims and even confessions that booklets containing examination questions for many centrally conducted exams have been stolen, particularly for exams related to entrance to universities and military schools!

Why doesn’t the Doğan Media Group, and Hürriyet in particular, utter the slightest sound about all this?
