The road to the new government

I"ve called my reporter friend, who had been waiting at AK Party Headquarters for Prime Minister Erdogan"s announcement.

It was 18:34 and there had been no last-minute news left on my phone or the social media.

Ümit said, "Now we are awaiting his entrance, he is almost here."

Then he added, "The bodyguards have arrived, and yes the Prime Minister is coming too, and behind him is Ahmet Davutoglu…"

This information was sufficient.

My guess, which I had been thinking for the past few weeks that it was finalized, had been correct; Davutoglu"s name had become clearer as the Chairman of AK Party in the recent MYK meeting.

What comes after this is; the election at the Extraordinary Congress on Wednesday, Erdogan taking his office in the Presidency and assigning himself for establishing the government.

We will be experiencing all of these consecutively, the new cabinet will be announced, and we will watch the waving of that for a while.

The important thing is what will happen afterwards.

I had also written before; Davutoglu Government has only 7 months, including the 90 days of the elections.

He has to show his ability, protect the equilibriums and take almost no risks in these 7 months. This is the nature of the politics.

Because of this, he would especially want to keep the places of the ones in the lead of economy in the cabinet; of course, depending on this, also the bureaucrats these ones work with.

In the end, what indicates voting is economy, first and by far; citizens look at inflation, devaluation, and employment first of all.

The possibility of MIT Undersecretary taking his place back is being vocalized; I personally think that it"s necessary for this period that Fidan protects his position.

It would not be right to change the boss of an intelligence organization, which is trying to be transformed. The time left in the Ministerial Cabinet, which had experienced a revision not so long ago, is not looking likely to allow a big revision.

Let"s see how the new cabinet will be; but we will have learned it by the end of this month at the latest. Short time, taking risks is not easy. Even protecting the routine is important. There is neither time nor possibility for great alterations, but still the actions that will be taken in these 7 months are quite important. The heat is rising increasingly in the foreign policy, which is the expertise are of Davutoglu. Across our borders, a trouble named ISIL is wandering while calling out other troubles.

In the domestic policies, there are many silly incidents happening on the contrary of the Resolution Process and blood has been shed recently and unfortunately, martyrs have started to come home.

Even though a more durable structure had been established in the economy despite the world, in the end we are an economy that needs to find jobs for a million youngsters every year and attract investment.

The new government has to be successful in these three issues and also needs to take necessary steps for reaching a maturity in art, culture, education and philosophy, so we can offer them to the world.

In the last few years, Turkey had taken great steps, but our problem is that these steps are not stopping; and pass to an institutionalized structure.

Constructing instead of demolishing…

The TOKI example is striking in this sense; it was a great promise for the narrow and middle-income people and they had kept their promise. Now this phase had been passed and the expectations of the remaining are growing on the housing issue, housing costs and even its aesthetics.

,

The difference is not being understood by many. For example, when one family goes to the neighborhood seaside village to enjoy the sea with their three children in their eight-hand, 3000 TL car and eat tomato-sauced bread brought from home, and another family, who has two kids and spends 60 TL for breakfast every morning, is swimming next to each other.

However, there is a great difference; the economical inequalities had only started to be seen as difficult; but it still had not decreased yet. Without a doubt, on the beaches, which hotels had seized by lining up next to each other and don"t allow anyone in, and in the beaches, which are named public beaches, are identical to deserted deserts, similar popular songs are being played….

In brief, there are many things to be done, and many paths to be walked.

Sometimes seven months is too short, but with one or two decisions, the mileage is too long.

I hope that the new government will be successful in this; besides protecting the routine, they would succeed in making one or two decisions that will affect our faiths positively in this short time.

In advance, I would like to wish the nation and people good luck.
