The Kemalism Loop that imposed itself on the Kurds

As the cooperation and seclusion between the HDP politicians and Nişantaşı leftists, whose votes are targeted, develops, the Kemalist Baasism within those politicians seems to overflow and erupt. After all, they don't even feel the need to oppress that Kemalism Baasism within themselves.

Thus, the irrepressible Kemalist expressions and feelings are turning into faux pas when they voice them.

Whatever the Turkish Kemalism had deemed proper to Islam and Muslims in Turkey, now, HDP is demanding more. Besides, I don't think that this only consists of some type of Nişantaşı populism for the sake of votes. They are confiding their real intentions, because they are being overjoyed when they do so.

Taking it from the directorate of religious affairs and handing it to djemevis

If you look at HDP's election statement presentation, both Co-Chairmen seem to have no difficulty in obstructively passing between each other. As Figen Yüksekdağ, one of the Co-Chairmen, was saying, “The Directorate of Religious Affairs will be removed, thus the government will keep their hands off the religion and belief area”, there was a great applaud in the meeting hall. As for the other Co-Chairmen, Demirtaş; while applauding with all his pertness, he asks, “Then, what will we do with the official car of the Head of Directorate Religious Affairs?” Continuing from the same level of pertness, she answers “We will donate it to the Djemevi” and receives another applaud from the crowd.

We won't know what this premium given to the Djemevi expression against the Directorate of Religious Affairs will bring to Demirtaş, who carries the name of the most loved sultan of the East, Selahaddin Eyyübi, but it's clear that it will take a lot away from him and Turkey. Are you going to solve the issues of the Alevis by injecting more hatred to them, or by stirring up the hatred in some Alevi organizations? If you are not aware that this approach is deepening the existing dialogue problems even further, then it's a worry. However, if you are aware but you are still doing politics over it, then you have a completely different intention. Is the intention behind removing the Directorate of Religious Affairs to confine all its opportunities to Alevis? Or is it to provide Alevis with equal services from that Directorate? Is it a solution to take it away from Sunnis and hand it to the Alevis? Why are you lacking the spiritual wealth to demand the same service for both of them and tolerate it? The majority of the Kurds, who are the main target of Demirtaş's politics, are Sunni Shafiis. I wonder, what would the Shafiis say about having something cut down from them and handed over to the Alevis? How much did you scrutinize this issue with the Kurdish community as minimum necessity of your so-called democracy? What I know is; of course the Kurds will not say anything against the Alevis' demands for their natural rights; however, they will never give credit to this kind of expression, which reveals the Sunni hostility, of taking it from the Sunnis and handing it to the Alevis.

Did the Kurds carry out the genocide against the Armenians?

All the HDP members, including their Co-Chairmen, supported the “Armenian Genocide” campaign that was activated like the Crusaders last week. Although, it's not a secret that this support was the fulfillment of their debt towards their European friends who provided every kind of support. However, there is something they overlooked. The Kurds are in the center of all the incidents related with the Armenians.

In 1915, if the plans of the Armenian gangs that were done accordingly to the road map laid in front of them were carried out, then, today there wouldn't be a single Kurd, Arab or Muslim left in the region. Before anything else, the banishment precaution of the Ottoman Empire saved the Muslim Kurds from genocide in the region. Let them listen to their elders, and see what they will hear and learn from them. I wonder; how will HDP find a way to becoming Turkey's party after their support for a campaign that is arising from Muslim-Turkish hostility?

Is Demirtaş searching for another kiblah for the Kurds?

While the HDP members are in the pursuit of a different kiblah and different Kaaba for the Kurds, they seem to have taken inspiration from Kemalism's “Let the Arabs keep the Kaaba, all we need is Çankaya” attitude. This thesis of the Kemalists on the matter of separating the Turks from Kaaba and searching for another kiblah, was maybe not enough to sever the Turks from Muslimism; however, without a doubt, this severed, distanced and alienated the Kemalists from the Turkish community. It turned into a foreigner between the Turks.

Now, as the representative of Kurdish Kemalism, Demirtaş, who is going down the same path, is saying; “Similar to how Jerusalem is sacred for the Jews, how Kaaba is sacred for the Muslims, for us Taksim is sacred and is a sanctuary.”

It has no other objective than to pursue another kiblah other than Kaaba and another religion other than Islam for the Kurds, who had been blended with their Muslim identities, and, to separate Islam and Kurds from each other.

In fact, the ones, who want to learn about the results of these attempts, can look at the result of Kemalism's Turkishness case. After all, similar to the Turkish neo-nationalists who are alienated to the Turkish community, the Kurdish neo-nationalists are following the same path and becoming alienated to the Kurdish community. This is getting them ill-tempered, and directing them towards the idea that they have no other instrument than the weapons and oppression in their hands to convince the Kurds.

What's worse is; they are trying to impose their own alienations on the Kurds, to whom they are alienated from, as a Kurdishness norm with the weapons and oppression skills they possess. This completes the Kemalism loop as an assimilation policy that imposed itself on the Kurds.
