Ali Bayramoğlu has characterized the Supreme Court’s approval of Hanefi Avcı’s punishment as “The Gülen-led group’s show of strength”. This is a characterization that best describes the situation; however, it’s lacking. Another description that can complete this characterization is that this show of strength is evidence of the Gülen-led group’s exhaustion and downfall.
The parallel structure had displayed their first actual show of strength related with Hanefi Avcı when they had accused a person, who had been conservative all his life and came to the fore as a nationalist security officer, of forming and administering a communist, armed organization.
The show of strength there wasn’t only consisting of the exhibition, and rather, happened by means of making everyone believe absurd claims. The Hanefi Avcı case is an absolute example for a plausibility level test.
This incident was also an indicator that exhibited the extent of the great credit, which had been produced in the name of fighting with the structure named Ergenekon.
However, now, we are in a completely different phase, and the presented show of strength in this phase makes it necessary to give up on all their claims until now. This show of strength’s price will be heavy to pay. The plan and responsibility of
every move’s intention somehow gradually becomes more exposed as it materializes in the shape of the confession of the crimes. While making a show of strength, the parallel structure is also stating their larceny. This theft is not the kind of theft that anyone can ignore.
It makes you wonder, why is the parallel structure attempting such shows of bravery, which will reveal their larceny this blatantly? Is there any logic in these shows of bravery? Let us repeat the question we’ve asked before; what happened to the community’s strategic mind?
Actually, since the beginning, even when they had participated in the December 17 – 25 coup phase with all their elements, the parallel structure didn’t stop saying “We have nothing to do with this”.
It was impossible not to feel the insensitive dimension of this suffering, which makes a fool out of its addressee.
However, later on in the process, more things started to happen, which will make everyone feel that the mind attributed to the community is a little exaggerated rather than the feeling of making a fool out of them.
A person’s loss of mind and prudence is the inevitable result of constantly making a fool out of somebody.
The assumption that the opposite side is a fool will render acting cleverly and even being clever unnecessary. God’s stick works this way.
The parallel structure had gambled all their strategic legal acquis, which they had collected for fifty years, and eventually lost it all. The December 17th attempt, in a sense, is the story of a greedy gambler. The structure wasn’t the only loser, it also made the people, who believed in them, lose. At this point, being compensated for the losses seems impossible. It’s also not possible to return to the old situation.
On this scale, naturally, the losses have a critical traumatic effect on the psychology. It seems that we are facing typical situations that might rise after a trauma. The community, which possesses an extremely strong justness diagram, takes on a more radical and more offensive language in this situation, in order to convince everyone of their justness.
Other than the PR campaign, which is being operated by plenty of trolls that persist on the same justness diagram and a couple of spin-doctors that can make rhetoric very good and are mostly imported, the structure is destroying the art of rhetoric. However, these movements, which look like a complete slaughter of rhetoric from the outside, are acting as a function that provides survival from this trauma with little to no loss from the point of the perpetrators.
Gülen is motivating his personnel with a sharp belief that despite all the happenings, there is still hope in the end. This is a compensation mechanism; however, there is no explainable side of the occurences. Fundamentally, none of them have been acting with their own minds. Actually the “hodja”, who carries the erudite secret, knows everything, and whatever he says is correct.
This loyalty, which, from the point of domestic Sunnah superstition, can only be shown to a person who receives a revelation, in other words, to a Prophet within the limits of the revelation he received, is becoming the most distinctive feature of the parallel structure, which is coming to the fore with the Shiism hostility.
Because of this feature, they had lost empathy and the prudence of how they appear from the outside. While trying to administer the perception, they became caught up in the distortion of the perception that is formed about them.
Thus, with every little thing they are doing, they are sinking even further.
