Turkey is taking critical strategic steps, but beware of the siege!

Great states develop strategies and advance with these strategies. While the rest, on the other hand, can only make maneuvers; neither their mentality nor their means are sufficient to make strategic breakthroughs.

HISTORIC STEPS, STRATEGIC BREAKTHROUGHS

Turkey started to take critical strategic steps particularly after repelling the July 15, 2016 invasion and coup attempt with a legendary resistance; it successfully conducted consecutive crucial military operations in Syria and Iraq, and shifted the balances in the region in favor of Turkey.

One of the most important strategic steps following these military operations was the Astana process, while another was signing the Exclusive Economic Zone Deal with Libya’s UN-recognized Fayez al-Sarraj government in response to the Libyan state’s call.

Operation Euphrates Shield, Turkey’s comeback and it challenging the imperialists by saying, “I will not allow you to shape the region’s future by excluding me,” became a milestone and went down in history.

Turkey struck a major blow on Daesh, the puppet of the imperialists, with the series of military interventions that it kicked off with the Euphrates Shield operation. It thwarted Iran’s expansionist policies in Syria and Iraq, and did the same in Yemen by settling in Qatar. The cooperation deals it struck with Russia enabled it to take strategic steps to balance out the U.S. as well as the Zionists.

The last great strategic move was the Libyan state’s call inviting Turkey to Libya. For the first time in our two-century-long history of downfall, a state invited Turkey as its “savior.” The strategic breakthroughs we made, one after the other, in Libya, in the archipelago, (the Ottomans called it “the archipelago,” not the “Aegean Sea”!), and the East Mediterranean within the context of the “Blue Homeland” concept, was a great, historic step!

The Germans armed the islands; they first provoked the Greeks against Turkey, then the French! We turned from the brink of war – even if small-scale – with Greece and France! This time our diplomatic intelligence was in play!

All that we did and achieved since the Euphrates Shield were strategic steps, initiatives, and breakthroughs we had longed for throughout our two-century-long history of downfall!

Satisfying, promising, reassuring.

Turkey is gaining strength in many aspects. It is realizing a breakthrough we did not experience in our two-century-long history of downfall. As a matter of fact, we owe all these strategic steps to the breakthroughs we made, particularly in the defense industry, and exclusively to Selçuk Bayraktar’s (Turkish engineer and chief architect of Turkey’s first national, operational UAV) efforts for the love of his country, culture and people.

THE ATTACK ON AZERBAIJAN IS AN ATTACK ON TURKEY!

Lastly, Armenia was made to attack Azerbaijan. The Armenian attack taking place immediately after the one-on-one meeting five days ago between Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron is significant; this must be underlined!

One thing is certain: An attack on Azerbaijan is an attack on Turkey!

They want to threaten Turkey!

They want to see what we are capable of doing; they want to test us!

Turkey must provide Azerbaijan all sorts of support! Every support possible!

IF WE MEND RELATIONS WITH EGYPT, IT WILL BE EASIER TO BREAK THE SIEGE!

Finally, let us get to the Egypt problem. Turkey is being sieged from the east, west, north and south! At this point, we need to mend our relations with Egypt over time. I said from the very beginning that it was wrong to sever ties with Egypt. Surely we are going to stand against coups and putschists. Turkey’s stance in Egypt is admirable. However, the outcome is against our interests as well as those of our Egyptian brethren!

As an inheritor of the Ottoman Empire, the Turkish state needs to establish relations with all factions in Egypt. This is the best approach in terms of both Egypt’s and our welfare.

Let us not forget that the one who control’s Egypt control’s the world. This was the case in the past and it is largely the case today as well. From Alexander to Caesar, from Sultan Yavuz to Napoleon, the one who reigned over Egypt reigned over the world.

Our aim is not and cannot be to reign over Egypt. I simply wanted to draw attention to Egypt’s strategic and historical position.

If a country cuts ties with Egypt, they risk harming their relations with all the other countries in the region as well. Building strong relations with Egypt both increases the opportunity to intervene as a sister country in any mistakes to be made within the country, and the opportunity to determine the region’s destiny in cooperation.

There’s more: If Turkey starts to develop relations with Egypt at different levels, this will also help in the medium and short term to break the siege over Turkey.

Turkey is physically stronger than ever. We are much stronger than we were a century ago; this is very clear.

However, it’s still beneficial to maintain vigilance. We got into (we were made to join) World War I with a plot, a fait accompli.

Turkey must stand tall but continue to remain vigilant.

Let us not forget that we are face to face with a major siege.
