Fate-determining elections

Turkey is going to hold an early election on June 24...

The decision to have snap elections is not that big of a surprise though.

Early elections were coming: President Erdoğan has been taking to the squares and holding incessant congresses...

Moreover, the possibility of early elections has been discussed in lobbies.

Why was it decided to hold elections early?

More importantly, Turkey repelled the July 15 coup and occupation attempt, completed the Euphrates Shield and Olive Branch operations, struck a deadly blow to terrorism, formed an alliance with Russia and Iran in a partial axis, and as a result gained a strategic power which would create an initiative, break waves and, if only partially, render it a game-changer in the region. All these have made imperialists, who tried to redesign the region by forming a new front through Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel and the U.S. to eliminate Turkey, agonize.

Turkey was going to go to the polls in 2019. It was going to be Turkey’s fate-determining elections: There would be a system change in Turkey; the state would be re-built from scratch; oligarchic bureaucracy would be re-shaped; Turkey’s internal and external priorities would be re-determined; Turkey would enter its orbit in time which it has lost for the last two centuries and would start forming an axis in our region by girding itself with civilization claims and 2053 and 2071 goals…

Of course, we were having big problems: We have been grappling with deep-seated problems in education, law, culture, media, urbanization and academy. However, Turkey has started to play in the premier league of the world in terms of economy, politics and strategy…

The West has been developing all its strategies in order to stop Turkey’s arival and its march toward forming an Islamic axis, and if possible to bring it to its knees.

Because when we came, they would have to leave here.

Because when we arrived, their imperialist, evil systems as well as disgusting plans would be in ruins.

Therefore, no matter what, Turkey’s arrival must have been stopped!

The fundamental strategy of the West was neither stopping Iran nor taking control of oilfields. Their fundamental strategy is to stop Turkey, which decided to resume its civilization march from where it had left off, which rose from its ashes, and grew in terms of economy and strategy and attempted to restore the region.

Therefore, Turkey would have been dragged into chaos until the elections, which were going to be held in 2019. The signals of the economic attack were realized.

Social and political scenarios of chaos were being prepared…

After the meeting of President Erdoğan and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) head Devlet Bahçeli, Turkey decided to have elections one-and-half-years earlier than planned. The decision of early elections destroyed all scenarios of chaos.

I am very certain about this: The decision of early elections dumbfounded the West. We will continue to see the repercussions of this in the upcoming days, too.

Our main problem: Will turkey find its way and form its orbit?

Let us move to the vital problem…

Turkey’s problems are not political. Nor are they economic.

Turkey’s problems are more deep-seated: Existential.

Judicial, economic and political problems that we face are only the result of these existential problems.

Turkey lost its route two hundred years ago and its direction one hundred years ago. Accordingly, it lost its civilization claims. It has been transformed from a history-making actor to a tourist in a period when history is made by the West. This is what our two-century history looks like.

There is also a deep side which had been boiling up, struggling to rise from its ashes and not seen but has started to be seen and emerged in the last 60 years.

This is a tough process that we walk with great difficulty that transforms us as we are trying to design the system. However, no matter what, we should reverse this tough and burning process.

At this very point, there are vital questions that we have to ponder and answer:

- Will Turkey find its orbit?

- Will it gird itself with its civilization claim?

- Will it recuperate, raise the oppressed and drive away the imperialists?

We can summarize these three questions in one question: what will happen to the future of Islam, which creates a reason for being in Turkey’s community, which is the sole founder that enables the country to make history and is our protector? Will the way be paved for Islam, which forms the foundation, soul, base and meaning of our identity, “culture” and history in this society?

Accordingly, will deep thinking, cultural, artistic, educational and media initiatives, which will pave the way for us, for our region and even for humanity, be taken? Or are we going to continue to lose blood in terms of the future of Islam?

In the upcoming process, this is our main existential problem that we have to think on and sacrifice our sleep make way.

After an accretion of half a century, when we ask, “What have we done?”, we should be able to say that “We put Turkey in its orbit and direction and laid the intellectual, cultural and artistic foundation for its march of civilization that can shape the destiny of the region.”

As I always say, there is only one way for this: sowing seeds in education, thought, culture, urbanization, media and youth in the next 10 years for the next 100 years…

This election will be a fate-determining election. Not only for the future of Turkey but also for the future of our region and even the world.
