A huge blast has shook an Assad regime military base in Aleppo on Monday, killing at least 20 army and paramilitary soldiers, according to reports.
The explosion took place at the Technical and Aerial Military Base, which is located in Aleppo’s Sakanat Muhallabi region, at 11:00 a.m. local Aleppo time.
Opposition group Abu Amara Battalions claimed responsibility for the attack, which targeted Syrian regime ammunition depots and a large training camp housed inside the military base, according to a statement released by the group.
Syrian reporter Kinana Allouch, who faced backlash in the past for taking selfies posing with civilian casualties in the background, was reportedly injured in the blast, which was heard across Aleppo.
