Exchange rate fluctuations are attempts of the West to back Turkey into a corner, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Thursday.

"All these are operations of the West, primarily of the U.S., to corner Turkey," Erdoğan said in a social media broadcast in Ankara.

"What happened to their exchange and interest rate operations now? They backfired. Now they cant get a hold of the Turkish lira."

Trump's support to Israel's Netanyahu

"Trump is only supporting Israel's Netanyahu to help him win the upcoming Israel elections on Apr. 9," Erdoğan said

U.S. President Donald Trump this week recognized the occupied Golan Heights,a strategic plateau captured from Syria in a 1967 war, as Israeli territory.
