The Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project (TANAP) has signed a $400 million credit line with World Bank, announced Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak on Wednesday.



"Our energy team has not only signed the deal with the World Bank, but also with international banks in what amounts to a $3 billion financing package, " Albayrak noted, adding that "our aim is to complete the project this year."



'Lake Tuz storage facility to begin operations'



According to Albayrak, President Erdoğan will attend a ceremony on Friday commemorating the launch of the Lake Tuz storage facility and the pilot run of gas pumping operations on the site.





'$400 million credit line agreement signed'



The World Bank opened the $400 million credit line with TANAP under an agreement signed with the state-owned BOTAŞ Petroleum Pipeline Corporation.



The agreement was signed by the World Bank's Europe and Asia Minor Deputy Minister Cyril Muller and BOTAŞ president Burhan Özcan, under the supervision of Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak.
