Turkish inflation forecast to rise in September

Turkey's inflation rate for September is expected to rise 0.65 percent to reach 11.20 percent, economists said Thursday.

The estimates from the 18 experts interviewed by Anadolu Agency varied from 0.01 percent to 0.90 percent.

The economists also forecast that Turkey's year-end inflation rate will reach 9.95 percent -- with the highest forecast at 10.90 percent and the lowest at 9.40 percent.

The inflation rate in August was 10.68 percent.

The Turkish Statistical Institute is due to release official figures for September on Tuesday.
