Supporters of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Justice and Development (AK) Party have started to celebrate election victory across the nation.
Supporters gathered outside Erdoğan’s Üsküdar residence, as well as various AK Party coordination centers across Turkey.
Turks waving flags and chanting slogans in support of Erdoğan and AK Party took to the streets to show their excitement.
Polls showed the Turkish president enjoying a comfortable lead in the presidential election with the majority of ballot boxes opened.
The ruling AK Party is leading the parliamentary elections with 43.9 percent of the votes as 77.3 percent of ballot boxes have been opened.
