Mercedes team's British driver Lewis Hamilton won the 2019 French Grand Prix in Formula 1 on Sunday.

Started in the pole position, Hamilton had his 6th victory in the season, winning the race in the Circuit Paul Ricard, Le Castellet.

This season Hamilton previously earned victories in Bahrain, China, Spain, Monaco and Canada.

Sunday's French Grand Prix was the 8th race in the 2019 Formula 1 season.

Hamilton got the win, completing the French Grand Prix in one hour, 24 minutes and 31 seconds.

His teammate Valtteri Bottas came second as the gap between him and Hamilton was 18 seconds.

Ferrari driver from Monaco, Charles Leclerc was in the third spot on Sunday.

The next race of this season, the Austrian Grand Prix will be held on June 30.
