French utility Engie sees no hit to Brazil business from political tensions

French utility Engie, which has a large presence in Brazil and bought Brazilian pipeline network TAG earlier this year, said it did not see any negative impact to its business from political tensions between Brazil and France.

"We are not seeing this," Engie CEO Isabelle Kocher told BFM Business TV on Wednesday.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and French President Emmanuel Macron have been embroiled in a deeply personal and public war of words in recent days, following criticism of Bolsonaro over wildfires in the Amazon.
