Turkish actress Esra Bilgiç, who was thrown into the spotlight following the outbreak of the now globally-acclaimed TV series Resurrection: Ertugrul, put her language skills to the test to learn a variety of slang words and phrases that are commonly used in Urdu in a bid to impress her loyal Pakistani fans.

Donning a casual white shirt and light yellow blazer, the 27-year-old Turkish bombshell, better known by her screen name Halime Sultan, is seen trying to pronounce the chosen Pakistani phrases in a video for Pakistani telecommunication company Jazz.

“Hi guys, I am Esra Bilgic, and today I will be trying to speak some popular Pakistani slang words and phrases and also teach you the Turkish version of them,” said Bilgiç at the beginning of the video.

In the video, she can be heard learning the Pakistani words such as “Gen 1 baat (Genuine talk),” “Bohat Ala (Magnificient)” and “Kya Scene Hai(What’s up)”

"Cheetah is my number 1 word," Bilgic says, revealing her favorite word in Urdu slang.

Earlier, the Ankara-born Turkish beauty tasted a variety of culinary delights to determine her favorite dish in Pakistani cuisine in a viral advertisement video, picking "Chicken biryani" as Pakistan's number one delicacy.

Bilgic’s popularity quickly spread in Pakistan after the hit historical drama 'Dirilis: Ertugrul' started airing with Urdu dubbing, and Pakistan’s leading telecom company Jazz 4G hired Halime Sultan as its brand ambassador in July.

Often described as the Turkish Game of Thrones, the hit TV series 'Resurrection: Ertuğrul depicts the 13th century Anatolia and tells the story before the establishment of the Ottoman Empire. It illustrates the struggle of Ertugrul Gazi, father of the empire's first leader.

In just 20 days, since the series with Urdu dubbing started riding on the airwaves, PTV’s YouTube channel has registered exponential rise in its viewership with 2.1 million subscribers, shattering all previous records
