The third Ethnosport Cultural Festival is presenting a dazzling array of traditional cuisines from across the globe for festival-goers to savor.

Organized by the World Ethnosports Federation and sponsored by Anadolu Agency, the event features the cuisines of 31 countries from all around the world.

Hakan Kazanci, deputy head of the World Ethnosports Federation and head of the Turkish Traditional Sport Branches Federation, said nearly 30 chefs from 170 countries prepared dishes for the event.

“We will try to present world cuisine to Istanbulites and our people here in a festive environment,” Kazanci said.

The event, which aims to promote traditional sports and allow talented athletes to shine, is not limited to sports.

“We call it a cultural festival. It includes food culture. We try to show the cultures and unique values of countries, not only their cuisine. We achieved it. Sports is one part of this,” Kazanci added.

During the festival, World Ethnosports Federation President Bilal Erdogan visited the booth of Anadolu Agency with the companion of agency's Director General Senol Kazanci.

The five-day festival started on Wednesday, in Istanbul’s Yenikapi Square, featuring celebrations indigenous to the Turkic world, Central Asia, and Anatolia.
