It was presented at a press meeting at Turkey’s Sarajevo Embassy that “Alija,” a series depicting the life of Bosnia Herzegovina’s first president, late Alija Izetbegović, will air on TRT.
TRT General Manager Eren said “I believe that this leadership, which he displayed in Bosnia Herzegovina in the most difficult of times, containing many virtues, will not be forgotten throughout history.”
Eren thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Bakir Izetbegović and everyone who contributed to the series saying, “I hope we perceived the great leader Alija Izetbegović accurately. Our primary goal is that this job is worthy of Alija Izetbegović and his family.”
Bakir Izetbegović answered journalists’ questions and said that Alija Izetbegović had an interesting and dynamic life.
Izetbegović said that as Alija’s son the script excited him and he believes that the project will yield a successful series.
