Turkish resort city hosts 'marvelous' Indian wedding

Turkey’s southern Bodrum resort district of Mugla province hosted an exquisite Indian wedding.

The bride Divya Agarwal and the groom Piyush Bansal tie the knot with a final ceremony on May 12.

The ceremonies kicked off on Wednesday.

"Three planes, 15 jets and 60 vehicles were rented for the guests," said Geylan Dursunoglu, manager of The Bodrum by Paramount Hotels and Resorts.

Dursunoglu said that almost 500 guests, including famous Bollywood stars, were brought from India for the wedding.

"They will enjoy themselves for four days and four nights. It will be a marvelous wedding," he said, adding that more than $1 million have been spent on the wedding.

Dursunoglu said Turkey has become a favorite venue for Indian weddings which will contribute to the Turkish economy.
