Airstrikes on 2 adjacent homes in eastern Khan Younis leave 19 dead
The death toll of Palestinians killed in Israel's deadly strikes across the Gaza Strip since early Friday has risen to 33, according to sources.
The number includes strikes on homes, tents for the displaced, shelters and civilians.
A medical source told Anadolu that airstrikes on two adjacent homes of the Al-Amour and Shurrab families in eastern Khan Younis in southern Gaza, left 19 dead and others injured.
Three Palestinians were killed in a drone strike on civilians in the Qizan al-Najjar area in southern Khan Younis, the source added.
Also in Khan Younis, the army struck a tent for the displaced in the western Al-Mawasi area, killing an entire family. The victims were members of the Abu Taima family -- a couple and their three children ages 8, 6 and 4.
A girl died from wounds she sustained from a previous Israeli strike on her family's tent in Al-Mawasi, the source said.
The Civil Defense reported that an airstrike on the Al-Farabi School, sheltering displaced people, in central Gaza City, left three dead.
Another Palestinian man was killed in eastern Gaza City's Shejaiya neighborhood from a drone strike, and a woman lost her life by fire from an Israeli quadcopter drone in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to local sources.
Israeli army's artillery shelling and gun-machine fire were reported in areas across Gaza, according to witnesses.
The Israeli army resumed its assault on Gaza on March 18, shattering a Jan. 19 ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
Israel has killed more than 51,400 Palestinians in the enclave since October 2023, most of them women and children.
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
