Borsa Istanbul looking up at week's start

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened at 4,993.74 points on Monday, up 0.62%, or 30.77 points, from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 1.65% to close Friday at 4,962.97 points, with a daily trading volume of 111 billion Turkish liras ($5.97 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 18.6365 as of 10.15 a.m. local time (0715GMT), while the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 19.6800, and a British pound traded for 22.9468 liras.

Brent crude oil was selling for around $85.77 per barrel, while the price of an ounce of gold was $1,811.55.
