'First country to lift laptop ban'

The U.S. ban on in cabin laptops was lifted for flights from Istanbul, Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan said on Wednesday.

“The laptop ban on U.S.-bound flights was lifted. We convinced our addressees from the USA. We have been the first country where the laptop ban has ended," Arslan said.

"The ban in the UK will also be lifted soon. Our negotiations are ongoing,” the minister added.
