Five workers were killed and 16 more were injured in an explosion at a spinning and dye factory in the Gürsu district of Turkey’s northwestern Bursa province.
According to reports, a a steam boiler exploded at the factory, causing the roof to collapse.
Emergency medical service units and fire brigades were dispatched to the scene.
Bursa Governor İzzettin Küçük said that the wounded were taken to hospital and that the cause of the explosion of the steam boiler is still unknown.
An investigation has been launched by the authorities.
