Five Turkish soldiers were martyred and 12 others were injured during a military operation in the aftermath of an avalanche in the southeastern province of Bitlis, hospital sources said.
The avalanche fell on the team of soldiers, as search and rescue teams were carrying out efforts to find three soldiers who are still missing.
