Hamas to release 3 Israeli captives in Gaza on Saturday

Hamas' armed wing the Al-Qassam Brigades started preparations on Saturday for a sixth prisoner exchange with Israel under phase one of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on Jan. 19.

According to an Anadolu correspondent, brigade members have been deployed in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip in preparation for the handover of Israeli hostages to the International Red Cross Committee.

The Palestinian resistance group raised banners rejecting displacement plans proposed by US President Donald Trump.

On Friday, Al-Qassam announced the names of three Israeli hostages set to be released Saturday under the ongoing deal: Alexander (Sasha) Turbanov, Sagui Dekel-Chen, and Yair Horn.

The Palestinian resistance group also published the names of 369 Palestinian detainees who are slated to be released in exchange for the Israeli captives.

In the past five swaps, Hamas released 16 Israelis in exchange for 766 Palestinians released from Israeli jails, including women and children.

The ceasefire deal took effect in Gaza on Jan. 19, halting Israel's genocidal war, which has killed more than 48,200 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and left the enclave in ruins.

Last November the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
