Hamas Political Bureau President İsmail Heniyye wished President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi and the Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit a joyful Eid al-Fitr in telephone conversations.
According to aa written statement released by Heniyye’s office, the Political Bureau President wished Erdoğan and the Turkish people a happy Eid al-Fitr.
Heniyye informed Erdoğan regarding Israel's activities targeting Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as thanking Turkey for its position in Palestinian affairs and for sending humanitarian aid to Gaza.
President Erdoğan said he was pleased to be able to aid Gaza, and added that Turkey will continue to provide assistance to the people of Palestine and Gaza. Erdoğan also wished the people of Palestine a joyful Eid al-Fitr.
Heniyye, in his conversation with Essebsi, thanked him for Tunisia's support on the Palestine issue. The two leaders discussed the global role played by the Arab world in the last decades and the Gulf crisis.
