The Houston Rockets' Turkish center Alperen Sengun was injured during Sunday's game against Sacramento Kings, which the Rockets won 112-104.

Sengun was forced to leave the court on a wheelchair after landing awkwardly, while challenging a shot by the Kings' Domantas Sabonis.

The 21-year-old will undergo an MRI on both his right knee and ankle, coach Ime Udoka said.

"It doesn't diminish the win in general," he said, adding: "I think it was one of our best road wins. He had a huge part in that."

Fred VanVleet, who led the Houston with 22 points during the game, said: "Injuries are part of the game. We all understand that when we signed up, but it's always tough to see your teammates go down, especially the young ones who haven't really been through it before," about his teammate.

Sengun became the youngest player to total over 45+ points, 15+ rebounds, 5+ steals in an NBA game last week.
