Indian film star to promote his movie in Turkey

Indian film star Amir Khan would visit Turkey on Oct. 4 to promote his upcoming flick "Secret Superstar", a local film marketing company said Monday.

In a statement, Filmarti, Ankara-based film production, distribution and marketing company, said that Khan’s latest musical drama would be released on Oct. 20 in both Turkey and India.

Secret Superstar, which tells the story of a young girl who wants to be a singer, was directed by Advait Chandan, and casts Khan, Zaira Wasim, Raj Arjun and Manuj Sharma, the statement said.

The 52-year-old actor's 2016 hit Dangal, a biographical sports drama, was released on Aug. 18 in Turkey.
