The Israeli army claimed on Thursday it attacked 10 Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

“Warplanes attacked a series of targets in Lebanon today and destroyed them throughout the day,” the army said in a statement.

“Nearly 10 targets were attacked successively," the army added, claiming that among them were Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, including “a military building and reconnaissance site in the town of Ayta ash-Shaab, a reconnaissance site and hostile infrastructure in the town of Mays Al-Jabal, a military building in the town of Kfar Kila, and two military buildings in the towns of Naqoura and Houla.”

The army also claimed its planes hit a “militant cell” in the town of Qana in the district of Tyre in southern Lebanon.

Lebanese Hezbollah group has not commented on the Israeli army's claim as of 1730GMT, but the group earlier today mourned the deaths of two of its members killed by Israeli fire in southern Lebanon, raising the death toll of the group members to 299 since Oct. 8, according to an Anadolu tally.

Earlier in the day, two people were reported killed after an Israeli drone struck a car in southern Lebanon, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The attack targeted a car on the road between Ramadiyeh and Qana in Tyre in southern Lebanon, the agency added.

Tensions have risen along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv presses ahead with its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed more than 35,200 people since last October following a Hamas attack.
