Jordan welcomes extension of humanitarian pause in Gaza

The Jordanian government welcomed the extension of the humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip for an additional two days, praising the intensive diplomatic efforts made by Qatar in partnership with Egypt and the United States.

In a statement published by the Jordanian news agency, Sufyan Al-Qudah, the official spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized “the importance of this extension for the humanitarian pause.”

The statement quoted Al-Qudah as saying, "It is a crucial step leading to the cessation of the war in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip, guaranteeing the residents of Gaza to remain in their homes, and preventing their forced displacement."
