Lebanese group Hezbollah said Monday that it had fired anti-tank missiles at the Biranit military camp in northern Israel.

In a statement, the group said it targeted the camp twice “in support of our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”

No injuries were reported.

The Israeli army, for its part, said it responded to the anti-tank missiles fired from Lebanon.

Lebanon’s official news agency NNA reported Israeli artillery shelling in the vicinity of the town of Naqoura and Mount Labouneh in southern Lebanon.

Tension has flared along the border between Israel and Lebanon amid intermittent exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah, in the deadliest clashes since the two sides fought a full-scale war in 2006.

The border tension comes as Israel continued its relentless air and ground operations in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Israeli border towns on Oct. 7.
