A renowned Turkish singer shot to global fame when an acclaimed You Tuber’s Spotify account was stolen and his playlists saturated with the songs of arabesque singer Ferdi Tayfur. The action caused the Turkish singer, who is more commonly known as Ferdi Baba (Father Ferdi), to skyrocket to the top of the agenda on social media.

Casey Neistat, who has over 12 million followers on You Tube, announced on Twitter that his Spotify account had been hacked, saying, “This is not the kind of music I typically listen to.”

The angry You Tuber accused his attacker by sharing a screenshot of what is now his playlist, which includes top Turkish arabesque singers such as Ferdi Tayfur, Müslüm Gürses, Nadide Sultan, Ahmet Kaya.

Neistat later listened to the Turkish legend’s songs, admitting it had grown on him and that he was keeping the playlist: “Ok, I gave it listen. Pretty catchy stuff. I will keep the Ferdi Tayfur playlist even after i reclaim my account from the Turkish hijacker.”
