Alexey Pantyushkin, the mayor of a Russian town, has been found dead in a hotel room in southern Turkey's touristic village of Kemer, in Antalya province .
Alexey Panyushkin, the mayor of the Russian town of Vyshny Volochek, was vacationing in Kemer, a seaside resort town on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. When a friend was unable to reach Panyushkin, he informed the police and the hotel management. When the hotel authorities opened the door on Wednesday together with Panyushkin's friend, the mayor was found dead in his room.
Panyushkin`s body was transferred to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue for an autopsy. Additionally, an investigation has been launched into the Russian mayor's death.
