Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed sympathy and condolences for those who were killed in Turkey as a result of the attempted military coup, when called his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sunday.

Putin said Russia is stand by the elected Turkish government and expressed his hope for order and stability to be ensured soon, the reports said,

The media networks, citing the presidential sources, said the two leaders have remained agreed on their decision to hold a first face-to-face meeting in the first weekend of the next month.

In recent weeks, Turkey and Russia has taken mutually steps in order to mend diplomatic ties, remained strain for eight months since the eruption of plane crisis.

One of the most crowded protest scene is Istanbul's Taksim Square as hundreds of thousand of people have been protesting the coup attempt. The protestors were heard chanting against the responsible of the coup, condemning the move. Non-governemntal organizations as IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, Association for the Dissemination of Scientific Knowledge and Turkey's Youth and Education Foundation were among those ngos called people to gather at the squares and not remain silent against the anti-democratic move.
