Semra Aysal lost her balance and fell 250 meters.

A seven-month pregnant woman passed away along with her unborn child after tumbling down a cliff in the Fethiye district of Turkey’s southern Muğla province while trying to capture the perfect photo.

Semra Aysal was taking a photo from the cliffs at Faralya neighborhood overlooking the Kelebekler (Butterfly) Valley on Tuesday before the horrific accident.

The 32-year-old had come to Fethiye on vacation with her husband. They first took a selfie together on the precipice, then Semra posed by herself as her husband took a photograph.

She lost her balance and fell 250 meters. Her husband immediately called emergency services, and her lifeless body was found eight hours later.

She was carried for two hours on a stretcher because there was no land access. Semra and her unborn baby were then taken to the Muğla Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsies.
