Spouses of the heads of missions in Ankara gathered Thursday before celebrations for International Women's Day.
Memorial Hospital organized a discussion on women's health and cosmetology where gynecologist Latife Atasoy Karakas gave a presentation about women's health rights and dermatologist Ibrahim Ozcan discussed clinical and aesthetic surgeries.
Louma Kabalan Moallem, the wife of the Lebanese ambassador to Ankara, thanked the hospital for the “kind gesture” for organizing the event.
Moallem told Anadolu that Palestinian women are suffering from the harsh conditions in the region.
“They are suffering not only from a lack of women's rights but also human rights. They are acting like a man, mother, warrior and protector of the country,” she said.
Moallem, the head of the spouses' delegation, expressed her wish for an end to the war. “God be with them, God help them,” she said.
The panel was attended by the spouses of ambassadors from Morocco, Cameroon, Colombia, El Salvador, Chile and Senegal.

March 8 is celebrated as International Women's Day.
Israel has waged a deadly military offensive, now in day 153, on the Gaza Strip since an Oct. 7 attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, which Tel Aviv said killed less than 1,200 people.
More than 30,700 Palestinians have since been killed and over 72,000 injured amid mass destruction and shortages of necessities.
Israel has also imposed a crippling blockade on Gaza, leaving its population, particularly residents in the north, on the verge of starvation.
