Two crew members died after a Tu-22M3 supersonic strategic bomber, which was conducting a training exercise, crashed in Russia’s northwest near the city of Olenegorsk in the Murmansk region while trying to make a landing during a sudden snowstorm.

Two others survived and were taken to hospital for treatment, the Russian defense ministry reported.

The Tupolev Tu-22M3 is a supersonic long-range bomber, which can carry nuclear air-to-surface missiles.
